I had a fantastic 3-night stay at this lovely place in Lancaster towards the end of May. The accommodation was clean, cozy, and exactly as described. Everything was thoughtfully prepared, from the comfortable bed to the well-stocked kitchen. It was a perfect base for exploring the city and the surrounding countryside. The location is quiet but still very convenient — just a short walk or drive from shops, restaurants, and some beautiful walks. Communication with the host was smooth and responsive, and they were really welcoming and helpful throughout the stay. I’d definitely recommend this spot to anyone visiting Lancaster and would happily stay again!

What a wonderful place for a peaceful break away. The house was so comfortable with all the amenities needed. The hot tub was a lovely addition too! My son, who loves wildlife photography, absolutely adored the river. He spent every possible moment down there photographing Kingfishers! I would definitely recommend to anyone who loves birds and wildlife.

The lodge was beautiful, we had a lovely peaceful weekend. They also had Netflix already on the tv which was great for a cosy night in. The scenery around was beautiful and would definitely go back. The only negative was we were excited about the pizza oven but wasn’t actually able to use it.

Had an incredible mini break here! The cottage is GORGEOUS, big and super clean! The hot tub was hot on our arrival and the garden is nice and private. The hot tub is super easy to drain and refill to keep it hot. It’s decorated lovely and the bed is MASSIVE! Wasn’t fighting my parter for space. Loads of places to park near by, lovely peaceful walk at the church up the road and along the water front. The pub literally 2 doors up has AMAZING food and a lovely garden. Only 10 minute drive from morecambe. Fran is a wonderful host and really helpful. Will definitely be back here, never felt more relaxed, didn’t want to come home!❤️

Bank House Cottage is an exceptional cottage to stay at. Hosts Veronica and Alan were wonderful, giving local recommendations and ensuring that everything was perfect for our stay. The cottage itself is beautiful and has an interesting history. It was sparkling clean and had all the amenities you could ask for. We also availed of the Hot Tub which was luxurious and very relaxing. We would thoroughly recommend a stay at the cottage and hope to return in the future.

Everything we needed was provided and Simone & Nigel excellent Hosts, beautiful well kept property and perfect location. Royal Hotel was ideal for parking( as located just behind the gate of the cottage ) with superb food and drink. Plenty areas to walk the dogs . Absolute gem of a place, had everything to make you feel at home. Location was perfect just a few minutes walk to the beach. Helen and Alex are amazing hosts with great attention to detail to make your stay just the best ❤️

Beautiful home. Clean, comfortable bed. Great location with restaurants and walking distance to the ferry. Angela met us to welcome us and answer any questions and recommend places to visit. Highly recommend! Heysham is a beautiful area and so is this home.

We have just had a lovely family get together at the property. The property is very comfortable and very clean. The kitchen is fantastic, it is well equipped with everything you need to cook for the family. The garden is perfect, and it is lovely watching the horses in the fields. There are plenty of board games, which were handy as the weather was not as warm has it had been, although the rain stayed away. Some lovely walks and places to visit within a short drive. The host was always contactable if needed. We will definitely be visiting again.

We really enjoyed staying at the coach house, located perfectly for access to Lytham and Blackpool. Big enough for 6 of us staying and with enough room for us to have had family around for dinner one evening. The accommodation itself is well kept, easy to find and Liz left clear instructions for access prior to us arriving. If you have a dog the garden is ideal for them to potter round securely. A fabulous 2 night stay at Swallows rest, and we could have all easily stayed for a week! Beautiful location with stunning views, so peaceful. Looking out to fields with lambs (very entertaining). A home away from home, well equipped kitchen - mum managed to cook a roast on the day we arrived - lamb (awful choice on our part considering our field neighbours!), comfy sofas and even comfier beds! The accomodation was spotless and pristine! We were staying for a wedding and Emma was kind enough to recommend a local hair salon, which we then booked. A full length mirror would be my only suggestion but this was only so we could check our wedding outfits! Would recommend a stay here, a great base for exploring. Thank you Emma and family :)

Me and my partner stayed here for a weekend away and it was amazing. The cottage itself was beautiful on the inside and out. Very clean and tidy and had every amenity you could want. From a coffee machine to a food processor. There were also a variety of board games and helpful books about the cottage and activities. Very very spacious given the price and felt very luxurious and cosy. Felt immediately at home and I would LOVE to come and stay again once the barn is renovated as that also looks amazing. We went on a walk and saw some stunning views, while of course stopping to see the cows. Amazing amazing amazing. Would absolutely go again!

Such a lovely wee place in an equally lovely part of the country. Would happily look it up if I planned to return to the area and would also happily recommend it to others. We (4 adults) stayed for 2 nights and we never felt like we were in each others way. We used the stay as a base for a recent concert at Anfield, transport into Liverpool was easy, we used Merseyrail from Ormskirk. We also chose here to have the calmness of the country to chill too. Thanks again!

What a beautiful cottage! It retains all the charm of its long history, while offering up-to-the-minute amenities. The kitchen and bathrooms are modern and pristine, with fresh white linens, and everything you need and more to begin your stay. Behind the house is a private garden and terrace, overlooking miles of fields and trees. We found peace and tranquillity here.
