Family-friendly vacation rentals in Fingal Bay

Fantastic eco-resort (retreat amidst subtropical forest) very close to the amazing sand dunes of Anna Bay. The pool was luckily located right in front of our cottage. And the hot-tub (at every cottage) around the front deck was a great addition to the overall experience. Brief interactions with Antony (owner) were as great as his vigilance to manage this excellent property. Koalas are often spotted within the property but we were unlucky in that. Overall great experience and highly recommend as a place to stay if you are visiting Port Stephens.

Great cabin located inside the Eaglereach Wilderness retreat. This particular cabin was nice and private, tucked away from the other houses. It had everything we needed for a comfy stay, and enough games to keep our kids entertained on a VERY rainy day! The facilities in the complex are great too: pool, outdoor gym, playground, small dam (for paddling), tennis court and rec room with pool table and ping pong table. A great holiday spot, all within east reach of Sunday. Sensational views too!

Our stay at Bella Vista was pure heaven. It’s been 10 days since we left and every day we have reminisced, scrolled through photos and contemplated when we can visit again! My son said today ‘I don’t want to go to school, why can’t we just live at Bella Vista!!’ This place was perfect for a family getaway. It was spacious, luxurious, peaceful and had everything we needed. The view is incredible. We can’t wait to go back.

Bed was super comfy too and despite being right on the front the place was very soundproofed. Mark was very responsive when we were getting in and on the lead up to our stay. Thanks!

We absolutely loved staying at Armando's place and felt very much at home! Each room met our needs perfectly, and the gardens were so lovely! It was great to see the many accessible features that were very tastefully done also. a great place to stay!

Very well laid out house with giant open plan kitchen, great for family gatherings. Comfy beds and lots of space to lounge around. Next level spa, more like a swimming pool, amazing.

Very cosy comfy bed in a quiet location, good central area for getting around. Close to black butt reserve which was really nice for walking. Very friendly nice host and very clean. Loved it , couldn't fault in anyway.

Such a beautiful family home and the layout and amenities were absolutely perfect for our stay - the downstairs area is self contained and so was ideal to have a stray grandpa join the family fun for a couple of days. The heated pool was a huge winner with the kids. Lauren has thought of everything to make the stay comfortable. The location is great too - a short walk into town; or a short walk through a bush trail at the rear of the property to Wreck Beach. We will be back 🙌🏼

My partner and I, and our 3 kids (between 5 and 8) had a great time! The house has a hot-water outdoor shower to get properly clean after a day at the beach. You can watch the beautiful sunrise across the ocean from the large living room windows. The kitchen has PLENTY of cooking utensils and crockery. TV has all the apps. The ping pong table downstairs was also worth it. It's useful to know that three of the 4 bedrooms are downstairs, and one queen bedroom is upstairs where the rest of the action is. The front balcony is nice and spacious, and the deck out to the back is HUGE! The location is extremely quiet, you can hear the waves on the beach. It takes about 3-5 minutes walk to get to the beach, it's very, very close.

The location is super close to beach and restaurants, the suburb is quiet we all like it. My furry friend also loves the beautiful yard. We will definitely book this wonderful spot again if we back to Shoal Bay!

We live in the area and just needed a place to crash while we had some work done at home. The house is beautiful and airy and instructions were crystal clear. We loved having a little staycation in the best suburb in Newy!

What a beautiful stay. The views, the pool, the whole house was just wonderful. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need including condiments and spreads. The house is so welcoming and feels like a luxurious home away from home. Our family enjoyed it thoroughly and there was plenty of room. We would recommend this house to anybody.

We selected Ruth’s BnB based on availability and proximity to John Hunter Hosp. So very glad we did as we got an extremely flexible Hosp, air BnB that had a home feel and all the little nick nacks that you need in daily life that many BnBs don’t cover.

Simon’s place is simply amazing. Not only is a great house, in an amazing spot but It was equipped with everything anyone could ever possibly need. Simon was always available and responsive to any queries, and went the extra mile to find out more about our plans and interests so he could recommend activities or offer additions l help. I have stayed in plenty of Airbnb’s and I must say I think this tops them all, and no doubt I will be back.

We had a lovely stay, it had all we needed. The view, pool and quick walk to town made it super convenient for our family weekend away. The host was also very responsive.

Had an amazing stay at Medowie thanks to Tania! She was friendly and gave excellent local recommendations. The guest house had all the amenities and extras in the bathroom cupboards and kitchen pantry that you might need! The place was spotless and the pool was lovely. Tania was a fantastic host and great to chat to, thinking I might book in again later in the year just to enjoy the space and her hospitality again! Highly recommend to anyone thinking of going to this area.

Amanda’s place was great to visit. The place was neat and clean. Watching sunset from living room was a bonus. We would love to visit again.

Lovely place. Rene was very helpful especially with late check out which we requested at short notice. No cot was provided for our 4 month old infant even though she was listed on our booking as a guest. Rene did try to source one for us but wasnt able to, so we had to go and buy one from Kmart. We also had to clean the bbq before using it but that was not a big deal. We had a very enjoyable stay overall and would definitely recommend/book again.
