Five stars to Casa de Cardido and to Rui and Alexandra for being wonderful hosts. We were a little late checking in, but Rui greeted us with a smile and a very generous tabua of local cheeses and meats. The hosts go above anything expected, with a sound system at the pool, exercise equipment, and fresh bread delivered daily. The house is a traditional Portuguese home - and it feels like a “home” not a rental. We spent two weeks here and it felt like staying with family. I noticed that one review commented on how close the highway is. Please know this is not a problem. You can see the highway when approaching the home from the road, but you cannot hear it and it does not interfere with the experience. This is very high quality stay with caring and involved hosts that will make sure you have all you need. I highly recommend.

Our stay was absolutely perfect! The view was breathtaking, and the garden was simply beautiful—a peaceful oasis where we could relax and enjoy nature. The house itself was spotless, modern, and incredibly welcoming. From the moment we arrived, we felt at home. Our host was the most wonderful and hospitable person we could have asked for. She greeted us with fresh croissants and wine, making us feel truly special. Every morning, she brought us fresh bread, which was such a thoughtful and delightful touch. This place exceeded all our expectations, and we can’t wait to come back. Inserida numa aldeia muito bonita e calma, o espaço é maravilhoso, meio envolvente muito acolhedor e um anfitrião preocupado com o bem estar do hospede. A casa é moderna, limpa, com muita luz e com materiais recentes. Tudo muito limpo e cuidado. Casa de banho muito boa, com água quente para todos e toalhas à descrição. Podem fazer refeições na cozinha e comer no local, tal como se estivessem em casa. Tem TV com todos os canais e WiFi super rápido e intuitivo para ligar. Valor em conta. Recomendo para qualquer família que queira relaxar e passar uma boa estadia.

WOW!!! I am not sure where to start as everything is amazing about this apartment! Jose was a fantastic host, and very helpful. Gorgeous minimal space with everything you need to be comfortable. The apartment is very clean throughout. There are small details that will blow your mind throughout the house, from little pieces of art to windows that open for ventilation, a lovely garden space that was great for my morning yoga sessions. Location is walkable to great museums, as well as restaurants. There is even a castle across the street. The only problem was that we could not move in!

La estancia en casa de Abi y Regina ha sido fantástica. El apartamento dispone de todo lo necesario para pasar unos días y nos hemos sentido como en casa. Es una casa preciosa e intima ideal para descansar y desconectar. Los alrededores de la finca son una maravilla. Nada mas llegar, Regina nos hizo una visita para conocer todo el lugar y pudimos ver sus huertos y comer unas mandarinas que estaban muy ricas. Esa noche asistimos a un espectáculo de linterna mágica que Abi y Regina ofrecieron a unos estudiantes internacionales y al día siguiente el propio Abi nos hizo una visita por el museo que tienen en la finca. Escuchar las explicaciones de Abi y hacer un recorrido por su vida y obra y la de Regina fue un privilegio. Ver tanta pasión en lo que hacen ha sido un regalo maravilloso. Hemos pasado unos días estupendos en esta casa, realmente es un lujo poder vivir en un lugar tan inspirador y bonito. Ya estamos deseando volver a pasar unos días aquí!

I enjoyed my stay in this apartment. The building and the apartment appear to be recently renovated, so everything is new, functioning, and clean. I liked the location and the view, the terrace, just about everything. Sandra was a great host. She even took time out of her Sunday to come to the apartment and show me how to get the washing machine going. I really appreciated that. I highly recommend the apartment.

L’alloggio è molto spazioso, curato e moderno. Posizione molto centrale e comoda a tutti i servizi. Il parcheggio per l’auto si trova facilmente nei dintorni. L’host si è dimostrato molto disponibile e ci ha accolto e spiegato tutto molto bene al nostro arrivo. Soggiorno consigliato

This place is beautiful, very clean, the location is great. The building is stone and very old and sturdy. You can walk to a few good restaurants in the neighborhood or walk to the mall and historic downtown. It’s right next to a hospital and is in a high traffic area but the sounds were almost comforting to me. Like white noise. Staying alone, I preferred that to the quote of the countryside. The design of the loft is a thing of beauty, but the stairs would be hard to navigate for the elderly. The only issue I had was during my arrival at night the first day I was there. They provide great visual instructions but the driveway is right after a curve and it’s up a curb. Not like a driveway in the USA. It’s dark and you would not expect to go up a sidewalk curb to enter the driveway. It was not problem once I figured it out but again, at night it was hard to fine.

Lovely apartment, spacious and well equipped. The river views from the balcony and all the main rooms were stunning. Luis was really helpful with lots of suggestions about eating places and sightseeing. We would definitely stay here again.

We really loved our time at Juliana's apartment. Modern, clean and spacious. Master bath was perfect, beds were comfortable and we felt very safe. The outdoor space is better than expected and we enjoyed wine and snacks every night after our daily adventures. Easily walkable to the city center, the sites of Porto and many restaurants and cafes. We will stay next time we visit!

Comfortable apartment with all the basics plus a washer and dryer—much needed after 10 days of travel! Short walk to beach and metro stop. Lidl and Continente close by as well as many small markets. We enjoyed exploring Matosinhos and trying local restaurants and pastelarias. Some great little museums too. Fernando was a kind and patient host who made us feel very welcome. We highly recommend this AirBnb stay.

Dejlig lejlighed med godt køkken og badeværelse. Stort soveværelse med god seng - fik efter ønske to dyner. Altanen med dens udsigt er fantastisk både om dagen og aftenen. Beliggende i et "lokalt" kvarter i Gaia med mange cafeer og restauranter. Busser og metro lige uden for døren. Det samme med hop on and off busser. God kommunikation med udlejer, der skrev næsten dagligt med god ankomst instruks, velkomst hilsen, forslag til ture/ting at se og afrejsehilsen. Lige nu larm fra byggeplads. Vi kunne savne en læselampe i stuen sammen med loftslyset. Det er en lejlighed, vil meget gerne vil vende tilbage til.

C’était un vrai plaisir de séjourner chez Daniel pendant un long week-end de 4 jours. Daniel est vraiment une personne adorable et il a fait tout ce qu’il pouvait pour rendre notre voyage agréable: il nous a conseillé des restos, une plage, une location de vélo, un atelier de céramique, il nous a expliqué comment rejoindre l’aéroport en métro…toujours disponible et super gentil. Il organise des tours en dehors de Porto aussi. L’appartement, très propre, est super bien situé, près de petits bars et restos, bus et métro. Petites remarques mais sans conséquences sur la qualité du lieu : La piscine n’est pas privée mais est accessible à plusieurs appartements. Le logement convient mieux à un couple car le lit du salon est moyennement confortable.

O apartamento tem uma excelente localização, e apesar de estar no centro, não há ruído. Estava limpo e pronto a acolher-nos. Com todas as comodidades necessárias. O João, desde início, mostrou-se completamente disponível para o que fosse preciso durante a nossa estadia. Tenho a agradecer uma vez mais, ao casal, por nos terem deixado fazer do cantinho deles, nosso também. Recomendo a 100% 👌
