We were very pleased with this place nice and quiet and off the road from traffic . If you want to rest with no distractions this is the place for you. Just be prepared to pay for electricity if your stays are longer than a few days. It was already prepaid when we got there so we didn’t really need to reup as we only stayed for one night. Other than that everything was great and the hosts was very nice and answered all our questions I definitely recommend and we surely will be back. 🤗

Chez Mame offers different types of accommodation, the one where we stayed consisted of: kitchen with fridge, oven, sink and utensils (even corkscrew and potato peeler!); washing machine in the house with soap; living room with large table and sofa (playing cards available!); bedroom with wardrobe, bedside tables, comfortable bed and mosquito net; bathroom with shower (good jet); outside a small covered patio overlooking the garden with table. Everything in order and small touches that make a difference, such as the brazier with sage leaves to perfume the house. The pool is small, but well maintained and with deckchairs and tables available for guests, as well as a shaded area if the sun is too strong. Mame is very kind and helpful. The location is a short walk from the market, a grocery store, the butcher, and the tourist pier (I recommend a trip to Mar Lodj, that of Dangane, less than 3 km away). Great if you want to explore the Saloum (given the prices in general!).
