John's place is so lovely in a peaceful and beautiful neighborhood, easy to find and park, just 6 minutes to the Metro and train station by driving, 12-15 minutes to water front and King Street with bunch of restaurants. The bed is super comfortable, and all kinds of snack food in the room. The sweetest part is the peeled and sliced fruit in the refrig…John and Rick are very kind, we must choose here again and strongly recommend to those visit Alexandria.

Phil is one of a kind. I booked with him because his home is in the same neighborhood as the family I was visiting. I was expecting just a place to stay, but Phil's place is an experience. What a kind, gentle soul. He cooks a great breakfast, but it's the conversation that comes with it that makes a stay with Phil worth it.

We loved staying at Rose's. The apartment was very spacious, organized and clean. Rose and her husband were impeccable during our stay, making sure we had everything we needed. Although it was a short stay, it was worth it for the little chats we were privileged to have with the two of them. The apartment itself was easily accessible and in a quiet area. We highly recommend you stop by Rose's house! You'll feel very welcome!

One of the best AirBnB in the area. Phil was a wonderful host, very engaging, friendly, very helpful and an all around great person. I will definitely return since I come to DC often.

Lucia’s place was well worth cost. I Lucia in person the morning I was checking out. She greeted me with breakfast and coffee. Lucia has a very pleasant and peaceful soul. I will definitely book with Lucia again.

We had a quick night but the place was confortable for our family. If we had stayed we would have used the pool.

Wonderful B&B close to Adam's Morgan, Kalorama, DuPont Circle. Best for solo travelers or couples. Very clean, private rooms. Excellent and attentive staff. Will stay here again!

This place is exquisite. I did a four day marathon dissertation writing retreat here. It was a huge success. I left having finished chapters 1-3. The room I stayed in was perfect (The Rose room). So many little, but beautiful, touches- from the art work to the candles and chocolate. I did my research and wrote daily in one of the cozy and elegant living rooms. My backdrop was a warm fireplace and a beautifully lit Christmas tree. I was able to take a walk and enjoy nature in the wooded neighborhood. The hosts, Sharon and Quinton were beyond accommodating and professional. Each morning I was served a five star breakfast and in the early evenings I enjoyed the wine hours. The wine selection is vast. Leaving was difficult. The hosts truly enjoy having and serving their guests and it resonates in all they do. I highly recommend this lovely upscale bed and breakfast. I will be back, for sure. Next time for a romantic getaway.

Lucia was incredible! So accommodating of my gluten intolerance when planning and making breakfast (which was amazing by the way!). Our room was really unique with original historic details. Location is Kalorama cannot be beat.

I knew the area and have family that stays in the same community so it was why I picked the place. There is free breakfast every morning and paid dinners. Zoya communicates very well and is a good person to have a conversation with. I would definitely stay again and I only had breakfast once while I was there and it was an amazing portion and delicious

This place is an absolute gem! A beautiful property that is close to town, but also away from it all. The accommodations are comfortable and the hosts are fantastic. Both nights that we were there, we had a great time visiting in the living room with the hosts and other guests. The breakfasts that were provided were better than most restaurants. I'm not joking. The food was wonderful! After visiting The Oaks, other Bed and Breakfast places pale in comparison. It's an excellent place.

Lipi was an amazing host. I booked this place for my dad and it was the perfect location. The room was clean and tidy, and the bathroom was spotless too. Lipi was very responsive and flexible to work with a last minute booking. She was warm and kind, and provided very clear instructions for the stay. I’d definitely recommend to choose her place, it’s very close to the IAD airport as well as many restaurants.

We were in the DC area for a wedding and SO happy to have Kathleen and Carl's to set out from and return to. The location (including the backroad drive) is beautiful and peaceful. Noted dulcimer-makers, they designed and built both the original house and these guest quarters. From the first message to the in-person greeting (with stocked fridge), and final goodbye, we were made to feel so welcome, comfortable, and thoroughly at home. I have stayed in a lot of 5 star homes, but this is the first where I wouldn't/didn't hesitate to ask for a bandaid for a second night of dancing. Wonderful spot, exceptional hosts!
