What you'll do

The Schoharie Valley is one of the oldest agricultural regions in the country. Join us and meet the passionate, sustainable local farmers in the area. On this full day tour we will sample the bounty of the region with a visit to a waterfall, livestock farm, a vegetable farm, a farm-to-table cafe for lunch, cider tasting room, maple syrup farm and creamery! One thing’s for sure, you won’t end this day hungry! We’ll take a short walk to a beautiful view of an 80 foot waterfall. Then, we’ll visit a 6th generation, 200 acre veggie farm, explore the greenhouses , tour the fields, take in the dramatic views and...taste the vodka made from their own potatoes! Our next stop is an incredible livestock farm where chickens, sheep, and pigs live in a natural habitat and are sustainable grazed. Kate, the farm manager will teach you all about their thoughtful practices and you'll meet Peeps the guard goose or the alpaca! We'll have have lunch at the farm's very own cafe, where Shannon will make us an outstanding meal and finish it off with the incredible gluten-free pies and bakery. At Ryan's cider shack we'll try a flight of his hand-crafted, locally sourced hard cider offerings. Then, Sharon will share her maple syrup farm and we'll all get a chance to make fresh maple syrup candy with her. We'll end the day at a local creamery to check out the cheese cave and taste plenty of sample

Kevin and I are the co-founders of Table to Farm Tours, which we launched last summer. Kevin's family have been visitors to the Catskills for close to 100 years and have owned a home for the last 80. Two years ago we decided to take the leap and transition from weekenders to full time, leaving our apartment in Brooklyn behind for 7 acres! One of our shared loves is great food and drinks, and back in the city we visited the farmer's markets regularly. In moving upstate we've had the incredible fortune to meet so many farmers and visit their farms, but we realized there wasn't an easy way for visitors to have this same intimate experience of meeting the people who grow their food and Table to Farm Tours was born! We've spent two years exploring this region and now curating unique experiences for visitors!
