What you'll do

You'll jump right into weaving branches to make your wreath, embracing the imperfection that comes with handmade items, especially on the first attempt with something new. I'll also have some pre-made wreath rings, gloves for you to wear and hot tea to warm you up as we'll be outside, under cover (option to work seated at a table, standing or squatting.) Once you have your base made, it's time to add whatever decorative elements strike your fancy. I'll have a few holly sprigs and some rosemary, possible pine cones, and some ribbon for you to hang your finished product. Happy to help along the way. You'll leave with your very own wreath and the ability to continue the tradition on your own.

Salut! I own and operate a 5-acre farm just outside of Ashland where I raise grass-fed and finished lamb + pastured eggs. I love and fully embrace the homesteading life! For me, this also includes wildcrafting... something I've been doing instinctively since running free in natural spaces as a kid. In 1998 I started making my own wireless holiday wreaths from found materials. A few years in, I invited friends to join. I adore the fragrant forest smell that these wreaths emit and the fact that I can just toss them to the sheep and then in the compost when we're ready for the new year.

Where you'll be

Our workshop will take place on the farm, under our carport with a view of our recycled window greenhouse and the lawn and garden. You may pass our sheep and llama on your way in and our farm dog will likely try to tempt you away from your wreath-making to throw his disk or ball. You're welcome to explore while you're here. Across the creek you'll see our chickens running loose, the pond and a lovely view of Grizzly Peak.
