What you'll do

First of all, an small introduction about ourselfs, our culture and explain all about the 5 different regions of Colombia. Then we go to try the most authentic dish of the Capital, Ajiaco. Then we got a surprise form the Orinoquia region! After that, the next restaurant is specialized in pacific coast food, we will try Patacones with hogo. Then we cook some local dumplings made with yuca/corn , with a local chef at his home. After that we try some of the exotic fruits in a local market. Next step is tamal from the south of Colombia, one of the most representative ones. If you are still hungry, not worries, we will have chocolate with chese, a typical way how Bogotanos we drink hot chocolate. Then we will learn about our coffe culture, we will smell, taste and drink a high quality organic coffe cup. This is a real and deep gastronomical experience where we eat and learn. We dont offer samples we eat proper dishes! Remember! ALL THE FOOD AND DRINKS ARE INCLUDED, you dont have to pay extra money! This is a FLEXIBLE experience, restaurants may change (we have more options in case some of our friend restaurants are closed or people want to try other exotic plates) Vegeterians and vegans are more than welcome!

Where you'll be

One of the highlights of this gastronomical experience is to cook with a local chef, we will use her tools and kitchen and know her deeply. We wil go as well to Concordia market to talk with Maria and Doña Gloria and try their food, they have been working at the local market for decades and even their parents used to worked ther as well. The other restaurants are regional ones and got their own history, one belongs to a Muisca family

Felipe (sorry, we didn’t catch his full name) was an amazing tour guide. We were absolutely stuffed with delicious food at the end of the tour and got to experience so many different types of Colombian food. He was detailed in explaining cultural contexts and took us to places we never would have found on our own. Thanks for a highlight of our trip!

Honestly one of the best food tours I’ve been on. Sometimes food tours can just be a tasting tour but this was much more than great food. Our tour guide’s name was Gina, and she did a great job of providing historical and cultural context to the food we were eating and I enjoyed every minute and morsel. I felt like Gina really understood our needs and likes and I made friends on this tour as well! I liked it so much I’ve invited my friends and I’m doing it again!

I love it! All the stops were wonderful, but making home made empanadas with Joseph and his family was my favorite. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Bogotá.

Go on an empty stomach! We made 7 stops. I left rolling haha. The food we are was brilliant. It was fun to make our own empanadas. Every stop was unique. We passed some scenic spots in the city. A wonderful afternoon of local food. I’d do this again if in Bogotá. The host Gina was wonderful. Thank you for a fab time!

The highlight of my life besides meeting my husband . I would rank it even above the birth of my children. Seriously, it was great fun and very informative. Making empanadas at Joseph’s home and meeting new friends were some of the best parts of the tour, besides all the delicious food, of course. I highly recommend this tour. Gina, our tour guide, was friendly, knowledgeable and interested in getting to know the tour participants. Thanks, Gina!
