What you'll do

We meet infront of the Old Town Hall, right next to the Astronomical Clock, embarking on a voyage to the lesser known underbelly of the historic Old Town of Prague. But don't worry, the only danger are the specters that haunt our path.

I will lead you in character as an Edwardian dandy to the northeast corner of old town, where tourists rarely tread. From there we will trace a path south, through the former Jewish ghetto. Stopping at the many sites of paranormal activity for which Prague is so famous.

Sights include (but are not limited to) the notoriously haunted House of the Black Cat, the former medical faculty where cadavers still roam the halls, The St. Castulus church where spirits play cards with the living, and the Jewish Quarter where Rabbi Löw breathed life into his immortal Golem.*

This tour is NOT designed with jump scares in mind. Instead it is about storytelling, atmosphere, and exploring the cultural tapestry of the city. Because what better way to understand a a place and its people then know the stories that keep us locals up at night?

*Please note that as many of these sights are still inhabited or are still in function we will not be able to observe their interiors.
Other things to note
Though all ages are welcomed, the tour can be spooky and may frighten young children.

Where you'll be

Prague is a city of twists and turns. We will explore the crooked and cobbled alleyways leading to secret convents, ancient graveyards, and beautiful Art-noveau houses.

In the day they might look innocuous enough, but by night, and with our insight. The darkness hanging in the streets will be all too tangible.

We will also explore the Josefov Jewish area, with its rich tradition and largely forgotten heritage.

Had an awesome time with Max. A wonderful way to visit some of Prague's historic sights while listening to little known horror and ghost stories on the way.

Max was very kind and left the impression that he really enjoys what he is doing! What I liked the most about the tour was our trip to the former Jewish areas, which was very engaging and thought-provoking. Beyond that, I think the tour suffers from not fitting into a single category. It contained a couple of spooky stories as well as general information about the city and its history. Unfortunately, the transition between them felt sub-optimal as they require slightly different headspaces. I also felt that the stories could have been told in a slightly more engaging and natural manner.

Really cool guided Tour through the Old Town of Prague, focussed on creepy stories that might have happened in the city’s dark alleyways. Our guide Maria shined with an authentic outfit and dark humour. We really recommend the tour and would definitely do it again!

Thank you Maria for the experience. I had a very good knowledge exchange and I understood the history of Prague much better. It was a walk through the rare quarters of Prague which was very exciting. I can definitely recommend this trip if you want to get feeling of how people lived in Prague in the past and the rare social situations that made their stories to stop and ponder upon.
