What you'll do

Print your own botanic tote bag, a sweet memento of your Rotterdam visit! You'll work with (sun) light-sensitive paint on fabric to make botanical photograms.

After a short introduction, we'll dive right into the technique with a demonstration and examples to inspire you to get creative.

You'll make about two test prints and one final tote bag.

There will be plenty of dried or fresh plants and flowers (depending on the season), mostly picked locally. If you want you can bring a bunch of plants or flowers.

We'll end the workshop with a cup of coffee or tea and a snack, while the prints are in the washing machine. After a quick wash and spin the prints are light fast but still damp when you take them home.

We'll work with a uv-lamps to make the prints. It's not a super messy process, and I'll provide aprons for protection, but the paint can stain your clothes.

Included
- Light sensitive paint in a number of colours
- Fabric for tests
- A cotton tote

I like to show that you can make beautiful items with often simple techniques. As a trained fashiondesigner i design easy to sew PDF sewing patterns that are sold online and are sewn all over the world. In addition, I teach creative workshops, like sewing and embroidery both online and offline. I love the fact that crafting and creating are part of my daily life and I hope I can inspire you to do the same.
