What you'll do

We'll welcome you at our land, Susimaa. After a first get together, you'll meet and greet all the wolfdogs and learn their names. Then we'll go together on a hiking adventure, when there is snow the hike will be with snowshoes that we'll provide you, through the woods and unique swamps. After this adventure (prepare to get wet feet, especially in autumn or after the last snow is melting) we'll gather around the cozy campfire over lunch in the middle of Wolfland, surrounded by the wolfdogs, reflecting the adventure and sharing stories.

Years of experience working in dog daycare/sled dogs, locally known as wolfdog whispers living off-grid in the woods with nature/animals.
Years of effort of fostering dogs, longing for living in nature/helping wolfdogs fulfilled at our safe haven. Raised wolfdogs, born our first litter, rescued neglected, difficult, shy wolfdogs/dogs, trained young unexperienced wolfdogs to pull a sled. With our traditional, (home grown potato) soup, we welcome people to experience our life, powered by solar energy/self-sufficiency in the woods of Lapland.

Where you'll be

Our land is special, as its home to different wolf dogs, who mostly come from the wild and mostly are adopted and rescued. We'll hike through the woods and swamps, every season! The woods are quiet as no one ever walks there, except for us - beautiful! The swamps are a very unique, special landscape for Lapland. Ranua has a lot of those swamps, we'll hike through some of the famous spots, where we'll find those rare berries depending on season.

The experience with the wolves and Harald was amazing! It is very clear Harald and his wife care very deeply for these beautiful animals and wish to provide a healthy environment for them. Walking through the forest with them was incredible, the scenery was stunning and Harald was very knowledgeable about the local fauna. The interaction with the wolves was so personal, just a fantastic day all around and will definitely share this experience with our friends back in Canada!
