We had a wonderful experience with the cooking class! From the moment you step into the authentic balinese compound we felt welcome. We were taken to the local market to browse around (all ingredients were conveniently already bought before the class) and after that we walked past rice fields. Considering the immense Balinese heat these activities did not take long, just the right amount of time. After a short introduction about Balinese lifestyle we started the cooking class. In a group of 5 we all got to participate in making various dishes, which we also got to eat after. Our host was also very friendly and made the overall experience great. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to learn some Indonesian cooking!

Highly highly recommend this experience. It's a great substitute for the tourist attractions in Ubud; you get a flair of the local experience vs. manufactured ones you find around Ubud. The family was so kind, funny, professional, and engaging. I wasn't expecting the level of knowledge they emarked on us, and that truly elevated the experience. It felt like I was invited to their home to cook with them! A must do.

Absolutely wonderful experience and tons of learning (that goes beyond just the cooking and addresses Balinese culture more broadly). As a vegetarian, it was also great to see them seamlessly substitute my dishes with plant-based options (Tempe and tofu) while still maintaining the variety of options and flavours (9 unique dishes!).
