What you'll do

The kimono is the traditional Japanese national costume. It has a history of more than 1500 years. Wearing kimonos has become the latest fashion for foreign tourists.
Please choose your favorite kimono. If you need help choosing, I can give you some good advice. Lately, kimono patterns have gradually become more colorful and really gorgeous. An obi is a broad sash. We have also Japanese sandals called zori. Zoris are worn with special socks called tabi.
I will dress you up in a kimono. Our salon also has a drink service.

After that, a hair specialist will do kimono hair for you. While you're sightseeing, we can lend you a small Japanese kimono bag. Please keep your valuables with you. Finally, I will explain how to walk, how to eat, and how to behave like a sophisticated Japanese person. After everything is ready, it will be time to go out.

There are many tourist spots near the salon. I'll tell you some good places to take pictures in your kimono. When you leave our building, people around you will be interested in your kimono. It will the be time to pretend you're a celebrity. Please take a lot of pictures for good memories.

If you don't need a hair styling, For children under the age of five

I've been hairstylist for 30 years . My husband and I opened our beauty salon "ASSEMBLAGE" 25 years ago. My love for kimonos was influenced by my mother.

Japanese ask hairstylist to wear Kimono at special days.
For example,Graduation ceremony, Tea ceremony, Wedding party, After baby bath…

A special day for your trip, Please experience to wear kimono,by all means.
I'd like you to experience the beauty of Japan. If everyone was glad, how happy I would be.

There're other Kimono specialists in our salon.Their names is Riko.
Riko made kimono's hair is delighted by many guest. Her job is so fast and fabulous.
Riko has good sence for choosing and dressing up kimono, and she can speak Korean.
If I'm so busy,They'll do a great job instead of me.

I'm sure the Kimono experience will be one of the best memory in Japan!

The salon is quite near to Shinsaibashi metro. Just follow the instructions and you will not get lost. Satomi is very friendly and she knows how to dress you up in kimono well. She asked me to choose and she would take photo to see if the kimono suits you. She will help you to choose the matching obi and other accessories. She will also teach you how to walk and how to fix your kimono if you need to go to toilet. She has plenty kimonos to choose. Dont worry if you cant decide, she will give you some opinions. I came to Osaka in February and it was quite cold. Some people might hesitate whether to wear kimono in winter or not. Dont worry because it is not as cold as I imagine it would be. You can choose to wear legging if you think it’s too cold, which is recommended by Satomi.

Satomi, her husband and her team were so super nice (I believe a hairdresser by the name of Rika? did my hair). I was unbelievably late because of my confusion in the trains and finding the place (note to self, don't panic in the future, just look out for the building in pictures!). I felt quite welcome and I enjoyed the small banter. I wish I could have talked more with them and grabbed a photo with Satomi but otherwise, their service was so friendly and helpful. Ask for rental extension if you plan to go beyond Osaka. A bit pricey but for my situation, I was grateful there was this option~ Many thanks for the warm welcome~

Satomi and crew were super welcoming, friendly, patient and dedicated. They are also very knowledgeable and their expertise is palpable. They helped us choose our kimonos and then dressed us, gave recommendations for places to go and offered beverages. We went to the Osaka castle and the Hozenji temple. My wife also had her done and looked great! Their location is great. I would recommend it to others!
