What you'll do
Horseback ride through medieval villages and oak forests, past castles and ancient Roman roads in Gerês, Portugal's only national park. We'll begin our ride in Campo do Gerês and head to the village of St. Isabel do Monte, where we'll dine on local Portuguese fare and bed down for the night. We'll visit Abadia’s Sanctuary and look out for wild horses on our way to the mountain village of Ventozelo. Finally, we'll trot back to Campo do Gerês, stopping at Caniçada Dam to look out over the Cávado River.
