What you'll do
Take time for yourself, in this virtual lesson: Yoga for Newbies. I am a trauma-informed fitness educator and instructor; ensuring my student’s wellbeing is important to me, and I want you to feel supported in a safe space.
Yoga for Newbies focuses on:
• foundational yoga poses
• modifications specific to your personal anatomy
• mindfulness techniques and how to apply them
• breathwork with intention
Class is structured with brief introductions, a warm up, a peak pose, and a cool down, concluding with a guided meditation in Savasana.
Yoga for Newbies is intended for anyone who has always wanted to try yoga, only to back out due to fear, injury, or some other limiting factor.
Join the fun, come with a friend/family member, or inquire about 1-on-1 lessons to suit your exact needs.

How to participate

I am a professional dancer of over 20 years, starting my official yoga journey in 2016.
I have been a yoga instructor for 4 years, and have received yoga certifications in various styles such as: Iyengar, Hatha, Children & Family yoga, and even Aerial yoga where one is suspended in air! Continuing education is important to me, and I am currently receiving certification in pre & post natal fitness for Women’s health.
Providing physical and mental wellness for people of all ages is my passion. I am also a trauma-informed instructor, and pride myself on providing a safe space for my students.
My philosophy is to respect/honor the body and good will come.

This was my first yoga class and Kimberly was very patient and clear with her instructions, so I felt that I was getting the right guidance, even just through Zoom. I felt very relaxed afterwards and I definitely recommend this class for beginners.

Just what we all need right now !
I signed up my 12 year old as thought it would be an opportunity for her to learn some relaxation techniques and a basic introduction to yoga . Kimberley was kind , thoughtful and encouraging and we only needed some basic household items .
I would highly recommend .
