Learn Chinese Chess from Zero, and go to the park for a game

Chinese Chess is a tranditional chess game with about 3000 years history. And nowadays is still one of the popular board games around local people. It's comment to see citizens playing Chinese Chess in parks with other people surrounded watching.

Today, we are going to
i. share the story of the Chinese Chess backgound;
ii. get to know the pieces;
iii. learn the rules of the Chinese Chess;
iv: take our folding table and chairs to Lu Xun park, and enjoy the game like Shanghainese.

Where you'll be

Lu Xun Park, which was called Hongkou Park, used to be the favourite strolling place of the great writer, Lu Xun. In general, the characteristics of the British landscape garden have been preserved. During normal days, Shanghai local elderly people would spend a lots of times here, keeping fit, doing calligraphy, as well as playing chess.
