Vacation rentals in Espanola

We wanted to spend some time kayaking in the Shawanaga Archipelago, and when we saw Kim's cottage available in Skerryvore, we knew it would make a great base for our kayaking adventure. The cottage's location on the water in a peaceful lagoon connected to Georgian Bay made for a perfect beginning and ending to each day's paddle. The cottage was very well equipped, included a lot of extra amenities, and provided a cozy place to stay each night. We enjoyed relaxing on the deck in the evening, eating supper at the picnic table, and even had a campfire one evening in the provided fire pit. Since our focus was exploring the Archipelago, we really appreciated Kim's direction on a few places that we would enjoy while out paddling. As it turned out, we did manage to get to The Hole in the Wall, and to the little waterfall well up the Shawanaga River. Thank you Kim for providing us with a comfortable place to stay, and enhancing our paddling experience with your local knowledge.

Great place to have a nice relaxing get away. It has a sandy beach front and a dock to tie up your boat to if you have one. Micheal supplied bottled water for your stay even though the water is safe for you to drink. Micheal answered any questions right away. Wifi was great too. We will be back next year.

Highly recommend this place. It was beautifully decorated and lots of attention to detail and a wonderful welcome basket. We have family in Sudbury so we plan on staying here many more times in the future.

This was our second stay at John's place and we'll be coming back again next year. John is always friendly and helpful and the house is a perfect size for two families. It's a beautiful location with a nice deck and lots of space for kids to play. Thanks again!

Exceptional place to stay! Our usual place we stay at was booked. We took a ‘gamble’ trying out this place- and boy was it incredible! The place is pristine and stocked with everything you need. Beautiful surroundings, and we were fortunate to catch the most amazing display of the Northern Lights! Highly recommend!

Love the place. Beautiful, clean, calm and comfy. I went there eith my wife, toddler, and another family of 4, and a friend. Everyone enjoyed this cottage stay. For most of us, this is our first time staying at a cottage. We're lucky our first was such a great one. Susan and Peter were such great hosts. He even offered us to get in the boat showed us around islands and river. We went all the way to Recollet Falls. We were also lucky enough to see up close the fox that visits the cottage almost morning. The boat ride and the fox were the best moments of the whole stay for sure. Recommended 100%

If you're looking for plenty of space for guests to have their own private room/area, this is the perfect spot...the view is also breathtaking and calming! The dock is the best, wide enough and with safe stairs stepping into the lake...Otter lake is crystal clear(it was so thrilling to see small fish come greet me with my bright pink water shoes--they even followed me--heehee) The surrounding terrain is quite flat and safe for everyone who may have mobility issues...This host has thought of everything...cupboard space to add your dry food and miscellaneous kitchen items, 2 fridges, plenty of hangers for our coats in the big porch entrance, the huge deck facing the lake with its tables and chairs to enjoy a morning coffee, tea or even a meal...and this, just to name a few great qualities about this gem of a vacation spot...(not to mention Manitoulin Island being my favourite place in the world)...the location is also central to a lot of great places to visit and explore!

This was our second time staying at this beautiful cottage and the stay was just as good as our first time. The host was quick to respond and quite accommodating by allowing us to park our vehicles at the cootage before our check in time. the host stayed in touch throughout the weekend to ensure our stay was first rate. we look forward to staying there again next fall.
