Foundak El Harameen (Bedroom 2)

Loved my stay here. Really cool and friendly neighbourhood in beautiful Esna. A little difficult to find initially, so: to get there you need to go to the end of Al Mahkama street (in direction away from Nile) and then turn left down Port Said - the hotel is on a side street to your left a minute or two walk down.
A view of the well-kept garden and swimming pool area is seen through a large archway. The pool is surrounded by lounge chairs and shaded areas. Soft sunlight casts a warm glow, highlighting the greenery and the elegant building in the background.

Beautiful Nile Front Apartment

The image captures the exterior of a historic temple, featuring tall columns adorned with intricate carvings. The stone structure exhibits a weathered facade, showcasing ancient craftsmanship against a clear blue sky. Surrounding terrain appears arid, with remnants of construction visible in the background.

Little pharaoh

Ali's place is a little gem. its well away from the tourist trail, you'll be the only tourist in the village 🙂 and for me it was a welcome break from the tourist areas of Cairo and Luxor. its much more relaxed, and you get to see a different side of Egypt and Egyptian hospitality. Ali is a great host, speaks English and other languages, and is very attentive and helpful. i felt at ease, we had deep conversations about many things, which was great and different to other experiences. he helped me find drivers at a good price and who had a great energy. the special treat for me was the food - local cuisine cooked by a family next door who cater for the local community for weddings etc, the food was authentic, plentiful (one order was enough for two meals), and delicious. the apartment I stayed in has only just been opened, and there's some work to do bring it to the same standard as Ali's other place next door, but it had everything I needed to enjoy my stay and I'm very grateful 🙏🏼

Nice cabin on board of Ankh1 Sandale / Dahabieh

I really love the experience of staying on a boat in Isna. Isna is a pretty bustling town, the temple is great there are great welcoming locals here but it was really such a treat to stay at this place. The boat was very nice, the beds comfortable, hot water and electricity available. The deck was nice to watch the birds and river. The host there was very friendly and helpful to us as well, we felt at home here is Isna.

Gamandy Eco-Lodge (Khnum Room)

SherifRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Our stay in Gamandy Eco-Lodge has been very enjoyable. The location is close to Luxor's main attractions, but is also peaceful and quite and gives a great flavor of rural Egypt. We had a full crew of chef plus helpers preparing meals, providing the kids with attractions including bringing rabbits, sheep and a horse for the kids to play with. The accomodation is beautiful and integrates perfectly with local environment including having palm trees inside the rooms and in some of tha bathrooms. This is a perfect choice for families or a group of friends who want to connect, enjoy the outdoors but also be very close to some of the world's most attractive historic sites like valley of the kings and Karnak templte. We spent 4 nights in Gamandy Eco-Lodge and the kids are already asking about our next trip!
