The house is located a 20-minute drive from Vimmerby and Astrid Lindgren's World, and close to both Katthult and Bullerbyn. At the bottom of the hill, there is a lovely little swimming lake, and just a short walk from the house stands the 1,000-year-old Kvilleken church. A few kilometers away, you will find the Norra Kvill National Park, which offers great hiking opportunities.

(nearest grocery store) Emils Katthult about 6 km. Among other things, two national parks, (Kvill and Skurugata), nearby with nice walking paths. Flea markets. Lovely nature outside the house for forest excursions or swimming and fishing.

This newly renovated cozy cottage is in the middle of the forest on the Småland highlands. The cottage is close to hiking trails and lakes and by car close to the unique wooden town of Eksjö, the elk park in Skullaryd and Skurugata. If you want to go on a day trip, it is an hour to Astrid Lindgren's World. All rooms in the cottage are newly renovated with care to preserve the feeling of this soldier's cottage from the 1700s. There are 4 beds and a sofa bed. Fishing opportunities are available as you have access to a boat about 1.5 km from the cottage.

Stay at the haystack and experience the cozy Bullerbyn feeling

Bring your family and friends for a cozy and different overnight stay at Övrarps loge. Here you sleep in the haystack, play table tennis, socialize and feed rabbits/goats. There is space for 10 people and the possibility to rent a sleeping bag/sheet. There are 8 beds, two of which are double beds. In addition, there is also a sofa bed for two people. The cabin is about 300 sqm equipped with a hay barn, kitchen, electricity, toilet, shower, small charcoal grill and charging post for electric car. Smoking and candles in the cabin are totally prohibited.

Stay in our cozy guest house with its own garden. Close to, among other things, Astrid Lindgren's World (20 km), Katthult and Bullerbyn. In Mariannelund there is also Filmbyn Småland, Karamellkokeriet, Ica, nice natural areas with lakes, etc. The house consists of a large combined kitchen and living room, two bedrooms (a total of 7 beds + a sofa bed for 2 people in the living room), a toilet/shower and laundry room. Note: You clean before check-out (unless otherwise agreed) and bring your own towels and sheets

The apartment is in a nice area with meadows, deciduous and coniferous forests, along with Lake Solgen, which is known for its zander fishing. Good hiking and biking and 700 meters to the lake. There are many excursion destinations nearby, such as Astrid Lindgren's home, Katthult, Bullerbyn, Filmbyn Småland, Skullaryd elk park, Eksjö Old Town, Skurugata, Kleva mine, Ädelfors Gold panning and more. Welcome to Älmesås! You will stay in your own little house on our farm. Within ten swedish miles you will reach Astrid Lindgrens Värld, Kosta Boda, High Chaparall among other nice places. You will stay in a very calm and quiet environment. If you take a walk, perhaps you will meet our nice Highland Cattles. You also can spend some time together with our bunny , four cats and the goats Iris, Diesel and texas. Perhaps you can get eggs from the chickens. The rooster Charlie says "Good morning"!
