What an amazing place to stay! We had the most wonderful time watching game walking right past our porch while the children swam in the pool. We even saw buffalo and hippos from the pool that were grazing across from the house on the river bank. The hosts were so kind and helpful. They communicated well and made us feel right at home. We really hope to return again one day.

We had a great stay at Ingrid’s! The cottage is beautiful. We stayed on a particularly cold night so we appreciated the fireplace, the heater, and the warm blankets! Would definitely stay here again!

Great stay in the bush! Perfect setting with several fine touches left by Louise. We had a late booking and she was amazing at assisting us on short notice. The house is very well kept and it was a great place to stay for a few days. Will definitely recommend when visiting Marloth park

We had the most wonderful stay at Anthill cottage. It is beautifully situated in the bush and has all the amenities you could wish for. We were well looked after by Lipton and Tuli. The cottage is with easy access to Orpan gate and activities to do in and around Hoedspruit. I can highly recommend a stay at the lovely accommodation

We had a fantastic stay at Mona Cottage. Carmen and Mike are great hosts. Pilgrims Rest is a lovely village and it is so sad that it’s reputation seems to have been tarnished by the Zama Zama activity in the area. They apparently keep to themselves and as two women travelling together we felt perfectly safe in the village and cottage. Unfortunately the village closes down at 4.30pm and so we were not able to eat out for dinner. However, the kitchen at the cottage is very well equipped and we cooked up a storm. I highly recommend Carmen’s place and I encourage people to visit Pilgrims Rest for a few nights.

The place was exactly what I needed to reconnect with nature. Peaceful and quiet surroundings. The host was very welcoming, proactive communication and always available to assist with few requirements. I had a flat tyre and she sent someone to assist me without even being asked; this was such an amazing gesture in customer service. What an awesome host, humble and easy to engage with.

We had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage! It’s truly a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle — quiet, calm, and surrounded by nature. The cottage is so well-equipped with everything you could possibly need, and you can tell a lot of thought and care went into making it feel like a home away from home. The host was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even more special. I left feeling completely refreshed and can’t wait to return!

A perfect stay to visit the Bryde Canyon and the Panorama route. The stay offers a well equipped kitchen and cozy beds. We had a very good feeling about the safety in the area.

Exceeded my expectations by a long way! Competitively priced, very well presented and well maintained. Hosts were great communicators and flexible Common areas were noninvasive, room felt very secluded and is in a great area in the estate that only added to the tranquility. Highly recommend.

Majuli is the perfect place if you want to sit and enjoy the peaceful sounds of the bush, look out over the crocodile river and enjoy daily visits to your patio of zebra, kudu, warthogs, mongeese, impala and bush babies sleeping in the thatch. The raised deck is outstanding and by far the best feature of the house. The AC was excellent in the rooms, the kitchen well equipped though a bit dated. Highly recommend. P.S. Make sure you have a sturdy car for the roads in Marloth, which are shocking!

You have to go here, you’ll have no regrets. The host is always responsive, from the day you book to when you leave. They are always willing to help. Its in the bushes, so they also come and check if you’re still fine from time to time. They clean the place every morning and really, that’s just a few of many things they help with. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back, for longer. Thank you, Bushveld.

It’s not always easy to find great wheelchair friendly accommodation but Anton’s Impala Cottage is a little piece of heaven that ticks all the boxes when it comes to being wheelchair friendly. It’s easily accessible with a ramp and no steps, spacious enough for a large power wheelchair, clutter free and has a perfect roll-in shower with enough space for a personal care assistant too if needed. It’s perfect for anyone with a mobility impairment, the elderly or those of us needing a wheelchair to get around. The animals visit frequently and are literally on your porch. You don’t even need to drive anywhere to see them. The cottage is spotless - neat and clean - and is well equipped with everything you would need for an amazing self-catering romantic or family getaway in the bush. The caretaker Constance is a gem and makes you feel right at home. She is always available to help with anything and everything. Nothing is too much trouble for her. It is a special place and worth every penny.

We absolutely loved our stay in the cottage. Beautifully decorated and bed super comfortable. The two fireplaces were so appreciated as it was a cold evening. Kitchen was well equipped for self catering. All in all a great stay

We had a wonderful time in Carmari's house during our stay in White River. + The pictures are accurate and the house has all amenities as described. + The house was complete with an outside veranda perfect for summer nights as well as a fireplace inside for cold winter nights + we loved the layout of the bedrooms and the open plan shower/bath area + the kitchen was stacked with all utensils, spices, coffee, milk..... + Carmari was super attentive and provided us with loads of recommendations for things to do in the are. She was also very responsive to all questions we had. Would definitely choose to stay here again. Thanks Carmari!

We had an incredibly peaceful and relaxing stay at this beautiful cottage on the farm. The setting was idyllic surrounded by open fields and the sounds of nature. The cottage itself was spotless, cozy and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable visit. We especially appreciated the personal touches (e.g fresh flowers) and how welcoming the host (Mike) was. Warm, responsive and respectful of privacy. It was the perfect getaway to disconnect, unwind and recharge. Highly recommend for anyone looking for tranquility and a taste of countryside living.
