Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Durham

Max’s place is wonderful. We had a great time celebrating my mother-in law’s 80th birthday there. The ping pong/pool table was a big hit and kept the kids busy. The sauna was wonderful after hiking all day. Max was responsive, had great recommendations and was very clear about how to get in. There was a helpful guidebook about the house and the area. We highly recommend this place!

This space is so lovely, the hot tub worked perfectly and provided many cozy nights outside. The plants are BEAUTIFULLY tender and bring a loving atmosphere to the space. the linen sheets were so wonderful at the end of the day. we made it up the hill in a Honda insight, but if it were a tiny bit icy I don't think we would have been able to make it. definitely use 4wd if you have it. the hosts were very responsive. if the noise is too much in the bedroom at night (critters, rain,etc.) be sure to use the fan they provide, it helped us a lot :) the kitchen was a delight to use. sharp knives. big, metal surfaces. nice gas stove. big fridge.

Enrique's place was conveniently located near Rhinebeck, but alao far enough away that it was peaceful and quiet. Worth having a drink in the tavern at Beekman Arms and breakfast sandwiches at Rhinebeck Bagels. We especially enjoyed the hot tub. Enrique was a wonderful, informative host, and available if we needed (we didn't). Overall, we had a nice, relaxing weekend.

Amazing location, calm and private. A lot of wildlife and close breweries! Would definitely stay there again! 💕

Wonderful host. Very clear and respectful-and in our case helped us out beautifully in a pinch. The house is very comfortable—a classic farmhouse with plenty of amenities. The record player/vinyl collection is an added bonus. The word burning stove and the dayroom it is in is a great room to lounge in, the kitchen is well stocked, and the surrounding area is very quiet and quite pretty-wonderful hemlock groves across the main road down the hill. Not far from Livingston manor and other small nice towns. Definitely would recommend and would be happy to return. Ideal for a small group getaway. And also, though it is close to a decent sized road, in the winter when we were there for 3 nights-maybe a half dozen cars. Extremely quiet in general and at night specifically.

Ray’s home offered the perfect weekend getaway for our family. The house is on a beautiful property with a lovely back yard, small bridge and my kids loved the fire pit! Ray was responsive & very friendly! We look forward to coming back again next time!

Aliaksandr’s home was even more incredible than we anticipated! The home itself was beautiful, with high end finishes, thoughtful luxurious design and amenities galore. We arrived at night and were awestruck by the view in the morning. The host was helpful and attentive when we needed them. What a wonderful stay!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Bluff House. We truly felt like we were staying at a home away from home. We especially loved spending time perusing the huge book and magazine collection. The art, glassware, and furnishings are really beautiful and unique….there were so many interesting pieces to look at. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook all weekend. Very comfortable bed. Lovely fireplace. Very peaceful. Loved walking the grounds as well, plenty of little trails to explore and walking along the bluff was serene. No complaints! We hope to stay again! Carin's apartment was cozy and clean, a perfect place to rest after your adventures. It is very close to the train tracks and there were complimentary ear plugs on the bedside table, if you need them. The sound of the train did not bother us at all but we are very used to it. Carin was very responsive when we had questions. I highly recommend Carin's place for your stay in Kingston!

Comfortable space with fun, eclectic furnishings. We stayed in the apartment at Tim’s while visiting area colleges and didn’t get to fully enjoy the gorgeous views from the Inn’s front porch. Would love to come back and catch a sunset over the Hudson!

We enjoyed our quiet stay. We did a hike that was recommended in the guidebook and visited the used book store that was also recommended, but otherwise stayed in. Couches and beds were comfortable and we found everything that we needed in the kitchen.

We had a great stay. It was a great quick weekend trip out of the city. This was our first time upstate and the location of Donna’s home was perfect. We had such a great time and would love to come back in the future.

Katherine was a wonderful host. The house was beautiful and perfect for the two of us. Her directions made it easy for check in. She was super quick to respond to questions we had and accommodating. The bathroom was beautiful, the bedroom and sitting space on the porch were wonderful. The location was also right in the historic Stockade district and made it so easy to find everything. This was our first stay in Kingston and we were so happy to have been able to stay here and enjoy the Hudson Valley.

This is a beautiful spacious home on hill with a mountain range view. The host told us about a hike that started in the neighborhood and it led to a pond and creek, which our whole family loved. Then Kingston restaurants were a very short drive to enjoy. The host left little snacks which I thought was a nice touch and the kids enjoyed.

What a find! Back apartment to a cute little house. So easy to get to, find, and right near town. Super clean, bright and warm. Pet friendly. Literally checks every box. We hit every local place in town that was on our list and did a quick trip to FDR's home in Hyde Park. 6 stars because 5 just isn't enough.

The villa is exactly as promised. It’s on a hill overlooking the Hudson with great views and outdoor space. It’s dog friendly with a fenced in yard, a wonderful feature for dogs and people. We were there for a family wedding so did not make full use of the outdoor spaces, but the pool and fire pit are very inviting. The bedrooms were comfortable and we enjoyed lounging in the living room with tv football games. The location is a short walk from downtown Coxsackie for coffee and treats. You should know that access to front door is up about 12 or so steps but there was a railing if anyone has mobility issues. We would return if we were to come back to the area. Lakpa is super responsive.

My daughters and I really enjoyed our stay at Jacks place. The house is beautiful, and the surrounding private property is stunning. Nicole was very helpful whenever I had any questions.

This is now the second time my soccer team and I have stayed at Katie’s property. Just like last year it was perfect! We did miss the paddle boat, but we assumed it was put away for the winter. Nonetheless the property, the home, everything was great. We’re excited to book it again next year for our soccer tournament.

Sourove’s place is great. It is a spacious and well apportioned home that is perfect for a family. The view of the mountains from the front window is beautiful and provides a relaxing sunset view. We absolutely recommend this house for anyone looking for a modern, well equipped place to stay in Hudson. Thanks again!

The house was perfect for our retreat — spacious, peaceful, and with a beautiful garden. The yoga room is fantastic and made a big difference for our group. We highly recommend it! Just one small note: be mindful with noise, as the neighbors are quite close. Other than that, everything was truly ideal for our retreat.

It was very clean, well-stocked in terms of bathroom and kitchen amenities, and had plenty of space for a large group to both spread out and find common areas. Hot tub, games, and large tables with plenty of seating. The host was responsive with any issues or questions we had. Very nice place!

My friends and I had the most incredible time at this Airbnb! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning views and the warm welcome from our host Joe. The property itself was immaculate — beautifully decorated, clean, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect too! Just a short walk from hikes, and local cafes, we were able to enjoy lazy mornings by the and evenings exploring the charming neighborhood. Our host went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, offering great recommendations for activities and dining spots nearby. We truly felt like we were staying with friends rather than in a rental property. Overall, our experience exceeded all expectations. Our stay at Liz’s home was everything we hoped for and more! It was the perfect getaway to a stunningly beautiful, comfortable, and special place. It truly felt like home, and it’s clear Liz put a lot of thought into making the experience great. A stocked kitchen, comfy beds, and cozy feel made relaxation easy. We loved using both the inside and outdoor fireplaces and tvs, and were even treated to a surprise April snowstorm! Perched on a hilltop with amazing views, the location is private, yet just a short ride to town. Highly recommend The Walk In for biscuits and visiting a few of the cute shops! Liz was a wonderful host, and we will be back, for sure!
