Vacation rentals with a patio in Drake Bay

I cannot say enough positive things about staying at this villa in the jungle! The early mornings listening and watching the macaws, to the peaceful short walks to the private waterfalls and swimming holes, this place is an oasis. But what really makes it perfect is Ashley and Andrew. Their story is inspiring and they do everything they can to make your stay perfect. Even the gardener Luis showed us how to open our own coconuts! Their dogs Baxter and Penny were just icing on the cake. Overall, this place blew me away. Just don’t be surprised to see a few (giant) bugs haha but overall, it was a perfect stay.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Aracari Nest. The view from the balcony was absolutely amazing! You can watch so many animals and birds and the sunset of course. Shane and Kathy were extremely helpful and welcoming. They even provided water, eggs, toast, and popcorn upon our arrival. The kitchen was extremely well equipped, making it easy to cook and feel at home. We’d happily stay again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway surrounded by nature.

Serene & peaceful: perfectly placed hammock that caught a nice breeze in the afternoon. Small kitchen equipped with all the essentials for a few days (a private típico Breakfast is also available from Maria). Open-air was lovely, fell asleep to nature sounds instead of a recording. Sebastian was super helpful & you can pay to get rides into town for early boat departures & things. It’s a bit of a walk/hike to the cabins in the heat, so if you aren’t keen to walk, there’s local taxis & moto bikes available. Overall, a perfect retreat to slow down after Corcovado hikes & diving adventures. Thanks so much Sebastian & Maria 💙

Alex’s place is amazing! The place itself, the bathroom and the kitchen are very spacious (even better than showed in pictures) and were super clean. Having breakfast by the balcony is an amazing experience! Alex is super friendly and helpful if you want to go to Corcovado or do other activities!

Ein absolut traumhafter Ort! Die Unterkunft von Mike ist ein echtes Juwel inmitten der Natur – wunderschön gelegen, mit einem liebevoll gepflegten Garten, der zum Entspannen einlädt. Das Haus selbst ist sehr sauber, bestens ausgestattet und angenehm klimatisiert – man fühlt sich vom ersten Moment an rundum wohl. Die Kommunikation mit Mike war hervorragend. Er war jederzeit erreichbar, unglaublich hilfsbereit und hat sich um sämtliche Touren und Aktivitäten vor Ort gekümmert, was unseren Aufenthalt extrem entspannt und besonders gemacht hat. Ein kleiner Hinweis zur Anreise: Drake Bay ist nicht ganz einfach zu erreichen und man sollte die Anfahrt im Voraus gut planen. Ein Allradfahrzeug ist definitiv empfehlenswert – aber die Mühe lohnt sich in jedem Fall! Für uns war es ein unvergesslicher Aufenthalt, den wir jederzeit wiederholen würden. Absolute Top-Empfehlung!

Absolutely spectacular in every way! The suite was light and airy, incredible views, stunning architecture. Peaceful surroundings. Joe and Susannah are real gems and we truly loved getting to know them (and the dogs and cat). The food was exceptional. Lots to do in Drake Bay: we barely scratched the surface after being there for 4 nights. We would absolutely stay there again.

Pros: - Location is the best- very close to main Beach where you take the boats to Corcovado, Diving/snorkeling/ Sierpe - José (local contact) he was very friendly and kind. He genuinely cares that your stay is the best as it can be. You can ask him for advice and he will give it to you with a good mood and friendly attitude. - The mattress is hard. We really liked it. Cons: Bathroom is outside. I still included 5 stars as it was already in the description. The bathroom is very hot.

Staying at Pura Vida was a wonderful experience for me and my family. The house is amazing, built and decorated with impeccable taste, comfortable, elegant, modern and with a breathtaking view to the ocean and forest. The hosts are most welcoming and we felt right at home. We were sad we had to leave! But we look forward to coming back soon…

Super cute cabin, perfectly located to explore Drake and nearby beaches! Oldemar was incredibly helpful in booking a scuba diving excursion at a great price, and he gave us excellent tips about the area. The cabin has a fully equipped kitchen with brand-new appliances. The bed is big and comfy, and the A/C works perfectly. We had a great time and will definitely come back!
