Vacation rentals in Doodletown

This place was a breath of fresh air. I've noticed a trend on AirBNB of rentals that are obviously flipped investment properties with no character and no evidence of life: this place is the opposite! Charming, comfortable, with hosts who actually know the area and live in the area. This is a great family option when visiting the surrounding Hudson Valley towns. I hope I can get back here soon!

I cannot say enough about this home. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway with beautiful views, this is the place for you. Hosts were extremely helpful & very quick to respond. We got lucky with beautiful weather and got to enjoy the lake but, stargazing in the jacuzzi at night was a perfect touch. We seriously loved every bit of this home and would love to return one day!! We had a perfect long weekend at Steven's cottage. It is bigger than it looks in the photos and was immaculately clean when we arrived. Steven was extremely responsive to all our questions and needs. The place is incredibly peaceful, a 2 min walk from the lake, on a private road where Steven owns all three houses. It was so relaxing and rejuvenating to spend time at this oasis with my partner and our best friends. There's a lot to love, but the best part is that the house comes with a private deck and dock, and unlimited access to various boats, to make your lake weekend whatever you want it to be. We loved that we could take our dogs to play fetch off the dock and not worry about getting in anyone's way or having to share any space. It was a great stay and we hope to go back!

This is the 2nd year we stayed here in March for a bike event in town. The location is perfect, you can walk to town, plenty of room for our bikes in the garage and the hot tub is great amenity. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to have meals at the house. Bruce is a great host, very helpful and always responsive. We look forward to staying again next year!

Great spot to stay for a remote weekend away. If you are looking for a wonderful and calm nature getaway, this is the spot! Has everything you need and very comfortable

This was the best Airbnb I ever stayed in , very clean , perfect location, easy to get in , it really was Great i recommend this place to anyone comming skiing/ snowboarding for a couple days

We had a great time staying in this beautiful and comfortable space. It had everything we could hope for and was perfectly clean. The air felt and smelled fresh as we walked in the door. It was spacious and well appointed with extras like condiments, games and puzzles. There was a dog gate and potty bags in case we brought our pets. We didn’t bring ours this time but might in the future because we definitely want to stay here again. There were plenty of clean linens and the shampoo, conditioner and body wash were great. The coffee was delicious and there was tea too. We didn’t use the air fryer, but it was nice to have that and the gas stove in case we wanted to cook. Thank you for a great stay!

This was by far the best Airbnb experience we have had. Super clean and comfortable, quiet neighborhood and beautiful view of the lake. Shiying was a very accommodating and friendly host. We absolutely loved our stay and would definitely love to return. Thank you!

Beautiful property and wonderful hosts who were so accommodating as to drive out to fix the internet for the one member of our group who needed to unfortunately work during our stay. Accommodations were basic and comfortable, which were expected and perfect for our group. We were there on the first chilly weekend of fall and able to spend both nights around the cozy wood stove during the evening and the dock during the day. The lakefront community is beautiful and I hope we can return with our dogs during the summer to take advantage of swimming and kayaking next year.
