Despite the changeable weather, we had a very nice time in the apartment of Maria and Daniel. The house is quiet, located near the forest above Mettlach. A bakery is within walking distance. The apartment is very tasteful and comfortably furnished. It is very well and amply equipped, with everything you need in 14 days (and with sharp knives!!!). We liked the covered terrace and the large garden area with city views. Maria, Daniel and their children are very nice and friendly hosts, always responsive and helpful. Communication was always relaxed and smooth. We were pleased with the fresh eggs and also tomatoes and grapes that we got from them. You can quickly reach the forest with its numerous hiking trails. We hiked some "dream loops" in the area and also took beautiful, challenging bike tours through the very varied landscape. We will be happy to come back.

Quiet cottage in the countryside

Citadine and traveling for work, I discovered a superb accommodation (comfortable, tastefully decorated, very clean and quiet) in a small village giving a little taste of vacation and rest after work! All descriptions are compliant on the Gîte de France and RBNB sites (no unpleasant surprises). Isabelle is super friendly and is at our disposal in case of problems (which I did not meet!) Too bad I couldn't keep this place for the duration of my business trip (until the end of May), it was already booked partly ... Thank you Isabelle and see you soon!

A great welcoming welcome with coffee and pastries from Rosemarie and Johan. Everything was present and nothing was missing. Nice kitchen with stove and fridge. A nice bed in a spacious bedroom and a great beautiful bathroom. Even a washing machine and dryer were provided. From the garden you came on a hiking trail at the edge of the forest. A beautiful large terrace, neatly landscaped and with a good view of the surrounding countryside and forests. There was little to do in the village at the bottom of the hill. In Mettendorf a 3 km village away was a spacious supermarket. The major city of Bitburg known for the bitburger beer was fairly close. Luxembourg was only a 15 to 20 minute drive, then you were already in Vianden, where you can take the cable car up and you have a nice view. The so-called little Switzerland (Echternach, with its beautiful hiking areas with steep rocks) was a little further. All in all, a nice stay with Rosemarie and Johan. Who are well worth the status of Superhost.

We had a pleasant stay in this well-appointed apartment. Everything was available and the host was available if anything was missing. The place is really peaceful. No regrets for choosing this place, the hosts were very nice. We recommend it.

The Airbnb is spacious and sparkling clean. Exactly as shown on the pictures and in the description. There was good communication and a tip to park very close to the door of the Airbnb. A lot has been thought of, such as coffee pods, tea, dishwasher tablets, etc. and some drinks and snacks. Plenty of towels. All we missed was a small freezer in the fridge for the cooling elements. But could easily go without it. We certainly hope to come back again.

Perfect getaway to wind down and relax. All the amenities you could wish for, hot tub was bliss. Great location for travelling and exploring. Super clean, fantastic facilities, just 👌Olivia and Christophe were very reactive and helpful. Would recommend without hesitation and already planning our return. ☺️

The stay at Esmeralda's was a role model. The house is very nice, beautifully decorated and clean. There are a lot of sometimes unexpected amenities, such as a pool table and a fireplace. Everything was very good. The general care was very friendly and generous.

Beautiful, quietly located holiday home. What a blissful place to stay! We woke up every morning to breathtaking views and the sunrise. Everything was thought of – the house was taken care of to the last detail and equipped with every comfort. Ideally located to take beautiful walks: just a half hour drive from the Mullerthal and 15 minutes from the Eifelsteig. A visit to the Trier is also well worthwhile. In short, highly recommended – we'd love to come back here!
