Breb's Cosy Barn is located in the heart of the historic region of Maramures, in northern Transylvania. It is an old traditional wooden barn placed in a wonderful, green private garden within the charming village of Breb. Transformed into a beautiful, alternative living space, vibrant and full of light, it gives life to the old wood and to objects once forgotten. Furbished with comfortable beds and all the necessary kitchen tools it's creating a cosy atmosphere with flavours of past times.

Our small location is in the middle of historical Maramures, in the charming village of Breb, where time has stood still and the locals still celebrate Sundays and holidays in traditional costumes and live according to the rhythm of nature. The little house is in the back of the orchard, at the end of the village, surrounded of beautiful green hills and is an old converted cosy barn that can host up to 4 people and where you have al the modern utilities furnished in a gentle rural style.

Casa Mica - one century old wooden cottage

Casa Mica is over one century old and has a beautiful story. It has one twin bedroom (and a bathroom) upstairs, and one bed/sofa in the living room. You have the whole house to yourselves and a fully equipped kitchen. You could spend evenings by the fireplace, or relax during daytime in the hammock. On arrival, you will find a welcome pack, consisting in locally sourced products (bread, milk, eggs, cheese, jams, vegetables, fruits). Coffee, teas, and palinca are there for you to enjoy.

Vlad Maramureș Chalet

Cladită după stilul scandinav al construcțiilor din lemn masiv A frame, Cabana Vlad se înalță spre cer de la poalele muntelui Gutâi. Oferă o priveliște amplă și uluitoare asupra văii ce se întinde domol, până în vârful Crestei Cocoșului, cabana nordică pare să vegheze întregul Maramureș voievodal, cutreierat cândva de haiducii lui Pintea.

The cabin is situated nearly a UNESCO world heritage church dating from 1717, and the whole area is full of places to visit, people to meet and there’s even a mountain to hike close by. You have acces to a kitchen in the house nearby and different bed arrangements can be made upon request.

Located in a picturesque area where traditions have been fiercely preserved to this day, “Two fountains” offers you the perfect place to relax with your loved ones. Walks in nature or sightseeing in the area are easily made from this location. The house consists of 2 individual apartments which can be rented and separately. The kitchen is in a separate building. A gazebo with a wood oven, barbecue and a table of 8 people are waiting for you in the yard.

We are waiting for you in Maramures at our chalets located in the middle of nature far from the urban agglomeration.
