Pieris' farm house is located in the middle of the well known Golden Donkey farm in Skarinou. The actual place is the top floor of one of the small museums found in the farm area (how cool is that). After the farm closes you will be by yourselves in about an acre of fenced land, with pathways, olive trees, donkeys, goats, etc (all fenced of course). It's a unique family experience. Pieris is a very experienced host, very friendly... as good as it gets. Definitely recommended for families with children.

Barçın's accommodation is really a nice place to rest and feel good. Located right next to the mosque (yes, a muezzin calls to prayer, but that's part of it), you can wonderfully explore the surroundings from there without being in the middle of the hustle and bustle. I personally did nothing in the kitchen except put something in the fridge, but everything necessary to warm something up or prepare cold dishes seemed to be available. Directly below is a nice café with friendly staff, great (iced) teas, coffee specialties and sandwiches. Since I wasn't in Nicosia for the first time, I didn't need any tips, but Barçın would have helped if I had any questions. The first view in the morning through the ivy vines was a relaxed start to the day, which I will be missing at home.

What can I say about this place other than it’s like a private paradise. I booked it with the intention of peace and quiet. This is exactly what I found and I am very grateful that I was able to stay here. The host Antreas is a wonderful human being who made everything so easy for me in every way. He was kind enough to meet me at the big Alphamega Supermarket and have me follow him to the house. Once you get up it you will be blown away. The house is large and oh so comfortable. Wonderful area outside to sit and read a book, Telework or whatever your heart desires. The tranquility of this place cannot be overstated. The kitchen is perhaps the most well stocked of any of the over 100 places I have stayed in. I cooked meals here easily and enjoyably. Slept comfortably in the large bed and the bathroom had everything supplied one could need. The only minor caveat would be it does get a little hot inside during the midday in summer without AC.I would gladly return to this place. TY Antreas
