House vacation rentals in DeKalb County

the location is gorgeous! the house is very clean. we loved being able to paddle board, canoe, and kayak on the lake. we also loved the view from the pool that overlooked the lake. this location feels like a lakeside resort. it's very quiet and peaceful. the listing does mention the loft stairs but I think it's worth another mention in my review. they're VERY steep which makes taking luggage up and down them difficult. a ladder might actually be easier. there are 2 beds downstairs though for anyone who can't make it up the steps to the loft (couch bed and king)

I was only going to be in town for a quick trip, and Jaims place was actually cheaper than a decent hotel where I was staying. It was so unique and different which I loved. It genuinely felt like I was staying a grandmas lake house. My friends and I had the best time and really enjoyed how peaceful it was. The communication was great. We messaged Jaims when a dog showed up out of nowhere and she was super responsive and helpful. 10/10 no notes! Will definitely come back again.

Such a beautiful place to unwind and relax. Beautiful views and so peaceful and quiet. Emmye & Seth were so kind and always willing to help when we had questions about the area.

Dave’s place was even better than described! It was super clean and cozy. My grandchildren loved that the pool was right outside our back door. The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked, including a box of toiletries in case guests forgot to pack well. I highly recommend Dave and his lovely house.

Cary was an amazing host — very responsive and proactive with her communication. We hosted our bridal party at the Airbnb, and it was absolutely perfect. The house is beautiful, very spacious, and extremely clean. 10/10!

Beautiful place with great hosts. One of the best trips we've had. There are several things to do which all are close and easy to get to. The house and the grounds were very well kept. 10/10

What a treasure this house was. The pictures in the listing were great but in reality it was even more impressive. The pool was clean, the house immaculate and the host was very responsive. The views of the mountains and valley at sunrise and sunset were moving. We'll stay here again as soon as possible. Thank you for a great stay.

Beautiful property! The lot has a gradual decline to the water, and the steps make it so nice. There’s so much to do at this house. We had such a good time that we’re already looking at dates to go back.

The cabin was beautiful. We really enjoyed the hot tub and relaxing on the porch.

This place was amazing! We had the best experience. The house was perfectly clean, plenty of beds and space for adults and children. We cooked all our meals in and they had everything we needed in both kitchens. It was so nice to have 2 kitchens and 2 living room areas to split between everyone who stayed. We kayaked to the waterfall that was close by and it was the perfect distance. We spent most of our time in the backyard playing with the kids and they had a blast. The fireplace pit and smores was a hit and so peaceful. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and we will hopefully book again for next summer!

Beautiful home with wonderful view! We have used this host for our annual Mentone trip every year, and will likely come back next year!

It was truly an incredible place to stay! It was such a peaceful area and was so refreshing. We had a group of 11 ladies, and there was more than enough space for all of us to relax comfortably. Kathy, our host, was incredibly responsive and thoughtful! She made our stay special with her kindness and attentiveness. Thank you for such an amazing getaway! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a perfect retreat.

We had a fantastic stay at Bear Brow Cabin! The cabin was beautiful, cozy and had a fantastic view on the Brow. Cannot recommend more, especially for a pet friendly getaway! It is convenient to downtown Mentone, DeSoto State Park & Little River Canyon. Michael was very responsive, accommodating and offered great local recommendations. We will definitely stay again!

Such a beautiful cabin. It was just amazing all around. Lisa and her husband are great people! They will guide you to all the great food in the area and things to do. I have no complaints at all. One thing, not a complaint either, just be aware it is not a good area to swim or float in the water. Very grassy and muddy. Still beautifully amazing to enjoy the view and lake, just not swimable to cool off. Would definitely stay here again, it was just the best cabin ever

I travel a lot with major league fishing and stay in a lot of places. With that in mind the farm house was by far one of my new favorite places. The personal touches like fresh baked goods, or the welcome card and note, made me feel right at home even on the road. Reda made sure everything was right and checked in on me during my stay. I hope next time I’m in the area someone hasn’t booked it and I can stay here again. Great place and terrific host.

Great place with beautiful and peaceful surroundings. Location is perfect for visiting state parks and hiking. Wonderful host! Would definitely stay here again.

My daughter got married at Oakleaf Cottages and all 16 of us stayed at the Airbnb. 5 different households in one but we never felt crammed together. The view is breathtaking. To get this view you sacrifice a flat driveway (which we gladly gave up for this view). They spared no cost while decorating. It’s beautiful. We hope all future renters will treasure and take care of it also. The game room was a huge hit with 4 teens and some of the adults. This place is amazing!

Amelia’s home is a serene and peaceful place in a quiet country setting, but yet not far at all to the local attractions. She provides thoughtful amenities to go along with the home’s fun decor. She is an attentive host and an excellent, responsive communicator!

This home was everything we were looking for in a peaceful getaway for our family of five. We were immediately impressed with the cleanliness and pleasant aroma of the home. The kitchen was well appointed with every utensil needed to cook for the week. There were tons of board games to enjoy with the kids. My guys had a great time fishing on the dock. If you’re looking for a family outdoor activity look into Little River Falls. Our family had the best time hiking to the falls, playing in the water, and enjoying a picnic lunch. I don’t think a single one of us was ready to leave when our stay came to an end. This trip was truly a retreat thanks to the exceptional comfort of this beautiful home!

Very spacious home with plenty of amenities for a relaxing stay. We appreciated the kitchen's being so well stocked with plates, bowls, glasses, cutlery, and cooking utensils. (So many places boast having a full kitchen but don't give you enough tableware to prepare meals for the number of guests they claim to accommodate.) Spending sunset on the top level of the dock, with the surrounding frog chorus and lapping water, was magical.

Beautiful peaceful place. We would absolutely want to say again if we are back in the area. Highly recommend this place to stay in.
