Beachfront vacation rentals in Dee Why Beach

We stayed over a weekend with our two children and some friends. It was torrentially raining for the first 24 hours which was bad luck and made the journey a bit trickier with cancelled ferries but we made it and the sun came out for us and we had a lovely weekend in the incredible surroundings of Mackerel Beach. It’s such a peaceful and magical spot. Relatively close to Sydney but it feels like you’re so far away when you wake up there. Claudia and Richard gave us detailed and clear instructions which made the logistics so much easier. The kids loved the cricket kit and beach equipment. We all appreciated the kitchen set up as we all like to cook. Eating out on the deck was really special. Will definitely be back to Mackerel beach.

We had a fantastic stay at this apartment in Vaucluse. The location is perfect for exploring Sydney, with a bus stop right outside the door and iconic sights within easy reach. It’s also ideal for families—Parsley Bay is just a short walk away, and our kids loved it. We also enjoyed walks up to Watsons Bay for beautiful sunset photos and pizzas at Watsons Bay Hotel. The apartment itself is fully equipped with everything we needed, and Shane went above and beyond by providing an infant cot and high chair. Communication was excellent—Shane was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommend staying here and look forward to our next stay!

This place was a terrific little set up for my partner and I and our mini poodle . It was modern with a retro touch ! The bed was extremely comfortable as were the pillows . Breakfast cereals. Fresh milk and treats were left out for us . Nice as you don’t get this everywhere in bed and breakfasts these days ! Rosie felt she was in doggy heaven and enjoyed playing with Murphy the adorable bordoodle in the delightful back garden . The doggie off leash beach was literally across the road and Umina seemed very dog friendly . Our hosts were really lovely and kind . Thankyou very much .

Liz and Larry’s place was excellent and better than we expected - the photos don’t do it justice. The location is fantastic and Liz and Larry went the extra mile to make sure our stay was great. The kids loved the canoeing, boating, fishing and access to water right on the doorstep, Thank you !

Our party of 5 including grandparents and 2 yr old son had a lovely stay at Michelle's. we stayed for 4 nights and spent the mornings at the beach which is just around the corner and lazy afternoons in the pool. The garden and house are well maintained and very cosy for a family trip away. I'd recommend stocking up on food as there are currently no shops/cafes at Pearl beach, but it was handy having a coffee cart turn up next door in the mornings. Even though there is construction building next door, my 2 year old son loved watching the machines and was disappointed when they weren't working on the weekend！Thanks again for sharing your home with us Michelle, we will be back！

Central to everything in the Eastern Suburbs overlooking the iconic Coogee Beach. Uber rides less than $20 to everywhere (Darling Harbour, Bondi, City Centre, Harbour Bridge, The Rocks, Bondi Junction) Highly recommended and will stay there again .... when next in Sydney.

A wonderful place to enjoy a week in Coogee. We loved having the beach and main street with shops and restaurants just a few minutes away, as well as bus stops to explore the rest of Sydney. The house feels like a home and had everything we needed. Sophie is lovely and was very easy to communicate with during our stay. Highly recommend staying here!

We really enjoyed our stay in Manly, the apartment was very comfortable and the location was perfect. Sitting out on the verandah for breakfast and lunch became a regular part of our days. We enjoyed trying the many cafes and restaurants and it was a great base for our walks and swimming. We are hoping to return one days soon!

Tommy was a great host. Very easy instructions to get into the apartment and gave us a late check out upon request. Lovely stay in Sydney and nice and close to everything.

Great location just off the Corso, super accessible to Manly beach and the ferry to Circular Quay. Kirsti was a super host, always accessible and responsive and helpful. Would definitely return, enjoyed my stay. Also loved the A/C, needed in view of the late summer weather.

To celebrate my 50th birthday my husband, son and I booked 2 nights in Manly. The apartment overlooking the beach was absolutely perfect and it had everything we needed and the host was polite and responsive. The apartment was beautiful with lovely prints on the wall and very clean. We would 100% love to stay here again in the future. Thank you.

I highly recommend Jeremy’s accommodation. Very neat, bright and clean. I loved the use of space in the kitchen, the pull out pantry and over top cupboard. There is everything you need. Jeremy was very accommodating and easy to communicate with, and his emails were loaded with very clear descriptions. Thank you so much 😊 I would definitely stay again.

We can’t say enough to thank Debbie for her warm welcome, the apartment is very new and clean, the ocean view is spectacular. Neighbour is so nice, our kids have so much fun playing with the other kids in the pool. There’re so many different cuisines for us to try. It’s small but very clean and modern town. It’s a great trip for family with young kids. Thanks and regards.

Marea was a great host that made us feel welcomed right from the get go! We enjoyed our stay here and it had perfect access to walking to the beach, restaurants, and a few shops. Great spot as well for being out of the hustle and bustle of Sydney! Explored both the city and beach areas and even played a little golf. Marea’s place was always nice to come back to!

We had a great few days at Alicia’s place . It was the perfect house for three couples . We had everything we needed . Would definitely recommend !

The house was beautiful and very conveniently located. The beach is just down the road and there is a small strip of cafes with a general store up the road. There was quite a bit of construction in the area which created some noise, but the area itself was lovely and made up for that. Would recommend for a group of adults or families looking for a quiet beach getaway.

I honestly can’t say enough about how phenomenal this experience was. I came off of a 20 hour flight and couldn’t wait to relax, cook dinner, and enjoy being on the water. It was the most beautiful sunset I had ever seen and one of the best night’s sleep of my life. From being picked up at the dock to the adventure of the return trip back to shore, I would recommend this incredible stay to anyone!

What a beautiful, peaceful place that had all the necessary amenities a 2 min walk from the spectacular pearl beach. It was perfect & Carla and Chloe were great hosts and were very generous to give us a late check out on Sunday. The spa is pretty special although a bit finicky if you don’t know how to use it - thankfully our hosts were very responsive in helping with this. My only note is to maybe make sure if you need more linen/towels than what they provide for the 4 doubles and one single bed (9 people). We booked the house for 11 (there is a room with fold out couches) but those 2 guests didn’t get towels or linen. Final thing is the property has close neighbours so there are a lot of rules to do with noise etc. This makes sense as I assume the hosts have been burned before and must protect their relationship with the local community but if you want somewhere you can feel free to sing your heart out around the fire pit until the wee hours go elsewhere. We had a wonderful two night stay at The Little Black Shack (two adults and two teenagers). From the moment we opened the front door, we were blown away by the water views from each room and the cosy interiors. The house is well equipped for a comfortable stay and is thoughtfully and lovingly presented. We enjoyed discovering the surrounds and falling asleep to the sound of gentle waves lapping against the rocks. It was a short but magical break from a noisy world.

Frances was 100% the perfect host. Nothing was too much trouble. She responded to any queries, all minor, within minutes. And the place was lovely - spotlessly clean, little chocolate treats and fruit on arrival, the fridge and pantry was stocked with breakfast goods (she even asked what type of milk we’d prefer before we arrived). And the views out over the Pacific Ocean were stunning. This is the perfect place to spend a relaxing few days - watching the ever changing sea, going for coastal walks, taking in the local markets or whatever floats your boat. One of the best Airbnb’s I’ve stayed at.

What a superb place! We celebrated a special birthday with the family and could not have asked for anything more. The views were even better than the photos, the house was well equipped and private. An added bonus was the kayaking and SUPing from the private jetty. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.
