Vacation rentals with lake access in Dartmouth

Doris’ place was excellent. The house and yard were beautiful, quiet and private with access to the lake. The place offered Something for everyone in our group (7 of us between the ages of 11 and 75 years) to keep entertained and relaxed. We had the best time and would love to stay again. The amenities were as described in the listing and she was a very responsive host!

I can not say enough good about our stay!! My family and Myself are very pleased and overwhelmed with how perfect this home was for our stay!! I would highly recommend to anyone!! And definitely atay again!! Ty so much for everything!! 😃

We had a lovely time staying here! The Lucky Loon deserves its 5 star rating. It’s a beautiful property with lots of space indoors and outside. It had everything we needed. Dave and Barry were fantastic and there to help. We hope to return in the future!

We had a great stay at The Den of Zen. The pictures don't do it justice. The beds were comfortable and hot tub and sauna were great. Shelley was a very responsive host. It was a pretty quick drive into downtown Halifax. We would love to stay again.

Kelly and Doris are incredibly friendly and quick to respond. Our stay was a last minute booking. Both kelly and Doris helped us feel right at home. The property is an Oasis. It has everything your family will need. The pictures do not do it justice. The quiet peacefulness you feel well sitting by the lake is everything you want and need. We will be coming back!

We really enjoyed our stay. Jim and Heather are super welcoming hosts. Great location, not far from Halifax and the airport. Modern and comfortable accommodation. Access to the lake from the apartment. Highly recommended. We would definitely stay again!

Great location for our stay. Apartment was clean and spacious with most comfortable beds. Jin was easy to contact and responded to requests quickly. The lake was a bonus with dock for swimming and plenty of outside seating. We would definitely recommend for an enjoyable stay in Dartmouth!

Beautiful basement suite with full kitchen, bathroom with toiletries, washer and dryer and a lounge room with streaming services and cable. Lovely setup with separate entrance for privacy, easy to find and easy instructions to get in. Snacks, juice and bottled water also provided. Would recommend. Only thing that would’ve been nice to have on hand would be a fan for the bedroom and a hair dryer, otherwise everything was great.

We stayed for a week at Treena’s place in Lakeview while visiting relatives in nearby Bedford, NS. We found the accommodations very nicely furnished, clean, modern, and well-equipped. The kitchen is small but functional and has most equipment one would need. The situation is very private and quiet, and we were able to use the wood stove, firepit, and gas grill. We found enough supplies like coffee pods, paper products, and dishwasher detergent to easily get us through the week. There are some lovely walking trails in the area, which feels more remote than it really is, but keep in mind that a car is necessary to get around. We would definitely stay again next time we Visit Nova Scotia.

Thank you for being such lovely hosts! We immediately felt right at home. The surroundings are beautiful, peaceful and quiet. It was a wonderful place to wake up to the snow. Thoughtful amenities, lots of space, comfortable places to eat, drink, read and watch Christmas movies. We didn't want to leave. So much generosity was extended to us due to the storm, and I look forward to returning! We very much were well taken care of.

This was the most amazing place. We spent a week here and Everything you needed or wanted was right in this place. The surroundings were peaceful, very inviting. Gillian checked in with us halfway through our stay to see if we needed anything. The beds were very comfy. The firepit is beautiful there was a fully stacked wood pile to use for the fire. There were lots of chairs all around to sit outside or out by the the dock. We would stay again in a heartbeat. Thank you Gillian and Scott for your hospitality.

I had a wonderful stay here on my first trip to Nova Scotia. Maryanne's place was the perfect spot to relax after a day of exploring and site-seeing. It was a bit tricky to find at night, but Maryanne sent helpful directions and was overall very helpful and communicative. The scenery was gorgeous and the cabin was very cozy.

First time visiting Nova Scotia and we couldn’t have chosen a better home and location. Beautiful home, 10/10 view and location, and very communicative and helpful hosts. Highly recommended for anyone looking to visit the area!

The cottage was exactly what we were looking for. Great communication great service. We were there longer than most, but it was a very comfortable cottage.

Great location on a very clean and peaceful lake. Swimming , kayaks and paddleboards are available right off the private dock. My son and I enjoyed paddling around the lake with islands, walking trails and a natural area with diving board to explore. The house is on a peninsula so while it’s very private , you also get pretty views on 3 sides. The house is stocked with everything you need for meals, movie watching , games (indoor & outdoor) as wells as a fire pit area. Very rustic feel but everything clean and air conditioned so we were comfortable when we did spend time in the house. Lastly , we were able to get to the Halifax waterfront for a very enjoyable meal in only 35 mins. Closer options in Sackville & Dartmouth as well. We also appreciated having a large Sobey’s grocery store only 10 min drive away.

Beautiful spot and has everything you need!

Unsere Erwartungen an unseren Aufenthalt in der Doucette Lodge wurden in jeder Hinsicht übertroffen. Die Gastgeber waren jederzeit für uns da und kümmerten sich sehr herzlich um uns, wenn wir es wünschten. Die Lage am See ist einfach perfekt. Der Weg in die Stadt, an Strände und zum Flughafen ist sehr kurz. So hatten wir auch die Möglichkeit, an Orte zurückzukehren die uns gefielen und dazwischen die Ruhe der Lodge zu geniessen. In der Lodge fehlte es uns an nichts. Es ist alles da, was das Herz begehrt. Wir werden den Aufenthalt nie vergessen und hoffen, bald wieder an diesen wunderschönen, erholsamen und herzlichen Ort zurückzukehren.

We had a great stay. The cottage and property were extremely cozy and comfortable. The area was beautiful and peaceful. The host was very accommodating and answered all of our questions. I hope to stay again in the summer months when the temperature is warmer.
