Since the owner was out of the country his son managed the property. He was really helpful and easy to be contacted. They provide bread, cereal and other basic stuffs to prepare the breakfast. All the utensils and other stuffs were labled properly. Overall good experience.

They were hospitable and so generous with their knowledge of their beloved bay. I truly hope they continue to share their love and local knowledge to others, such down to earth Aussies with a wealth of experience and stories!

The stay at Bob Reed's house was a 10 out of 10. My decision to book that room was based on the photograph that illustrates the offer: a pleasant atmosphere with a magnificent view, in one of my favorite corners in Manly. To my surprise, everything exceeded my expectations, from the level of cleanliness to the quality of every detail it offers. The host is a person of exquisite sensitivity, who has lived and traveled extensively, with whom you can share interesting and fun talks, but who knows how to respect the privacy of his guest. I would definitely stay at Bob's Fairlight Gardens again.

Had the most amazing stay here! It was the first time coming to the hunter valley and we couldn’t have asked for a nicer place to stay! Beautiful room, with gorgeous views and surroundings, and great amenities in the room as well! They also let us check in before the check in time as we arrived early! Their winery is also amazing and would definitely recommend visiting there, we tried a few wineries over the weekend and this one was the best! Will definitely be visiting again ❤️ thank you for the lovely stay!

This oasis is perfectly situated just a few steps from a bus line and half way between the F4 and F8 ferry landings making getting around on public transport very easy. Balmain has a wonderful village feel, with a long bohemian history as a place for artists, writers and musicians, now home to many young families and retired commuters. Your upstairs room and bathroom feel quite private from the rest of the house. Roseanne and Adrian have lived in their place for decades and know the neighborhood well but each has embraced new careers in retirement with Air BnB hosting and Adrian driving Uber for the morning commute. They were very flexible with my late arrival due to some airport delays. If you do arrive in the dark look for the giant ceramic mosaic of their address on the street wall (made by Roseanne!). Hoping that they are still hosting when I am next able to visit.
