Cabin in Húsavík, Sandoy

Almost 200 year old listed stone house in the historic village of Húsavík on Sandoy. You live close to nature in an old traditional Faroese stone house with grass on the roof, walls of wood and wooden and stone floors. The house is in a wing, where you go through the 'smoking room' (where the sleeping area is) into the living room (glass room). In the smoke living room there is high ceilings, while in the living room there is lower, overlooking the sea. Bathroom of older date, and a small kitchen with new elements and dishwasher.

Cosy cottage next to the ocean facing the fiord

The cottage stands very close to the sea with a view of the fjord, the nearby marina and Torshavn. The house's unique location makes it possible to observe a varied wildlife of seabirds, some seals, fishing boats, cruise liners and container ships up close. This small house has two floors. The kitchen and living room are combined in one room on the ground floor and the bedroom and bathroom are on the 1. Floor.

We renovated this old boathouse recently. There is a rowingboat available as well. It is the family’s boat. The house offers you a peacefull sanctuary to collect your thoughts. 5 minutes walking distance to groceryshopping. Bus stop to the rest of the island is oposite the house as well. There is a bed for two people and a couch that also can fit two people
