Star City Gem near Trailheads

I have been staying at Airbnb's for about 10 years now throughout the US, and I have to say this is by far the BEST house I have ever stayed at. The house was beautifully decorated and felt so homey, right when you walked in. Kevin thought about everything when it came to accommodations as well! Paper products, laundry pods and dryer sheets, coffee pods, PLUS creamer! Bath towels, linens, beds, furniture (inside and out) were all so comfortable. I have already started making arrangements to come back next year. Anyone booking this house will NOT be disappointed. Thank you Kevin, and family!!

Charming mtn cottage on 200 acres 30 minutes to VT

We had a wonderful stay at Dawna’s house! We visited the area for a Virginia Tech football game and the location was great, only a half hour from campus. Such a beautiful and peaceful setting. The fire pit and wood stove were ready to go for the chilly nights. The porch was a comfy spot to curl up and watch the deer. The extra touches like flowers and homemade muffins were perfect! It was clean and cozy and we loved it. Just wish we had more time. Perfect place to unwind and get away from it all! Can’t wait to go back.

We really enjoyed staying here! I had to make an early morning telehealth appointment one of the days we were there and the bus didn’t have WiFi, so Rem recommended places I could go and a local coffee shop. Rem and his family were very friendly but left us to do our own thing. Our conversation was enjoyable and didn’t feel forced or like we were trapped like you get with some hosts. Besides all of the above, the farm was beautiful and the bus was very peaceful and well decorated with plenty of room to cook or relax. We will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful stay. The house was in great shape, roomy, with comfortable furnishings. The kitchen was very well appointed with just about every utensil you need. The property is beautiful and very private. We went to hike and it is very well located for near the AT. Also easy to get to Blacksburg. We would definitely stay again.

Another wonderful Christmas week vacation at your cabin. The hot water was endless, the Christmas tree and decorations were awesome again, and we really loved the security gate at the base of the mountain road going up to your property! we cooked a standing rib roast with all the trimmings! we also hiked at the Raptor Observatory and around the property roads. Every morning and evening we saw between 7-14 turkey and/or deer! we liked the new trash shed out back as well....plenty of room and clean as always! This is our favorite cabin in WV; in the fall you were booked and we stayed elsewhere and it was nice, but your property is more to our liking due to all the privacy and peace and quiet. We will soon be booking for our spring/summer trip and we plan to bring our mountain bikes and do some riding. Thanks again Tammy and Benny for making our holiday! Happy New Year!
