Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Cowlitz County

Our experience with Linda and her home was wonderful! My 13yo and 3 yo enjoyed it just as much as we did with country like setting leaving a safe and peaceful space to relax and play. We watched rabbits run around freely with no worries right around us! The home is beautiful and cozy, bonus points for the built in cassette player that played music througout the home! We especially enjoyed the Elvis cassette! We slept great with the comfortable beds and darkening curtains to block out that early morning sun! We were able to do any shopping without much of a drive and there is so much to do if you like the outdoors life!

House was clean and very up to date. Host was very responsive. Overall great stay!

The house was so comfortable and well furnished. Lots of seating and extra blankets to get cozy on the couches and watch movies. Loved the beds, bedding and pillows. Good water pressure and very clean throughout. We saw deer in the yard and enjoyed our adventure down to the lake.

The stay was exactly what we were looking for! A very nice place to stop after lots of traveling during the day! Fun game room and comfy furnishings to relax and have a fun evening with the kids! Angela was very responsive with any communications we had

The place was exactly as described…clean, comfortable, and in a very nice area. Everything was well-maintained and tidy upon arrival. Great location, and overall a pleasant stay. Would definitely recommend!

The hosts, Jon and Kathleen, were very helpful and quick to respond to any concerns or questions. Had a most enjoyable and relaxing time and the views of the property and Cowlitz River were spectacular. It was so quiet and peaceful. The deck, patio and hot tub were definite highlights. It’s a large home and with just 2 of us we only utilized the main floor. But there’s a basement and upstairs area with more bedrooms and bathroom. Great for a large get together. Kitchen was well equipped with plenty of room to prep and cook. We had a wonderful time and stayed for one week.

Beautiful home! All the comforts of home and more! Enjoyed the individual bedroom cooling systems. Wish we had more time there! Host provided everything we needed and more! Excellent space!

What a great place to stay for a long weekend! We thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful property, abundant places to sit outdoors, the hot tub, comfy beds and well-outfitted kitchen. It was a wonderful jumping off point to head out for a day of hiking and exploring and then to come back to for making dinner and relaxation. We definitely want to come back sometime!

Great base camp for Helen’s adventures!

The property is gorgeous, secluded, and quiet—plenty of space for a family and well-behaved dogs. The three buildings give more than enough room to come together. Everything was clean, and the space itself is immaculate. Please treat yourself to a stay!!

Johanna is a fabulous host! She is very responsive and goes out of her way to accommodate her guests as much as she can. This home is ideally located right on the Kalama River with beautiful views of the river and surrounding landscape, yet not far from town. It is perfect to fish, swim, or just sit back and relax. It has all of the amenities required for a fantastic stay! I plan to book another stay for later this summer to just relax and swim, and I will be returning next Spring to fish and relax for my 4th year in a row!

Out stay was exactly what we needed. The ability to disconnect from electronics and be present in the moment was good for the soul. We enjoyed listening to the rain and the river throughout the night. The people in town were friendly and we found two amazing places to eat. The most special treat was seeing geese with their babies swimming in the river from our window. Will definitely be coming back

This place was away from everything and exceptionally peaceful and quiet, not to mention the beatiful grounds and scenery!!!

The cabin was a great spot for a getaway to the Mount St Helens area. My husband and I brought our toddler and my parents, who were visiting from out of town. It was plenty of space for all of us, though anyone staying upstairs in the loft should take note that the ceilings are low so adults can not stand upright. It's also a steep climb to the loft with low railings by the stairs and overlooking the main cabin area, so young children need to be accompanied by an adult while in the loft. As noted by others, upgrading the mattresses would be a nice improvement. The setting was beautiful, as the cabin overlooks the waterways on the outskirts of the lake and we enjoyed paddling around a bit in the kayaks that were available by the boat launch. The outdoor picnic table on the deck was a nice hang out spot, too. We enjoyed one meal in town as it's a short drive away and cooked in the cabin another night. I suggest adding one large soup/pasta pot to the dish inventory! Overall- great stay!

Very beautiful setting, and comfortable accommodations. We felt at home in the well kept heritage log house surrounded by fields and evergreen trees. Lots space for our large family, and well laid out with everything we needed. Wish we could have spent more time there, and would love to come again.
