Orla’s place was a beautiful little retreat nestled in the mountains. We found it easily from the Eircode and easily retrieved the key, although I did find it very tricky to open the door with it, despite clear instructions! There was no WiFi and the phone network up there is extremely patchy but this was perfect for us and we played some lovely board games, and the kids got the best laugh of the trip at my reaction when a spider popped out of one of the games!! A perfect place, just ten minutes drive from templetown beach and ten minutes from Carlingford. We loved our stay here!

Beautiful location with everything needed for a quiet and chilled out stay. Everything was clean and comfortable. Conor was helpful with local recommendations and answering any questions we had. Instructions for the sauna and hot tub were clear and straightforward. Overall great break away, highly recommend.

Absolutely fantastic house, much more spacious than I thought from pictures. Beautiful house and surroundings, bridal party were getting ready there for wedding and was perfect, would absolutely recommend the place! Would definitely come back. Billiards room was huge 😃 Gorgeous place for photos and super quiet. Seosamh was extremely quick with any questions we had! Top class!

we had a most enjoyable stay over Easter weekend, there is everything you need in the cottage, wifi was good too. The cottage was easy to find , and the beach a short walk away, so is the local bar/restaurant. The host Fiona was very approachable with any enquiries we had. Overall I would recommend this cottage and will definitely go back.

Sinead is a lovely host! The place was exactly what we wanted and the location we wanted. It's not a 5 star resort but the price reflects that. We were happy. The beds were clean and comfortable. We lit the fire. We cooked. We visited the beach and the local pub. We made memories and will definitely be back!

Great house in a very convenient location. just a few minutes walk from the town centre. Four spacious bedrooms some ensuite. Good views of the lough from the front upstairs rooms. Good size kitchen and sitting room. Good walks and hikes in the area. Some nice pubs and coffee shops. unfortunately a lot of restaurants were only open from Thursdays, the day we were leaving so choices were limited. We would come back to Carlingford again and would definitely stay in Richard's house again.

PROS> cosy interior. private. access to lots of land and public walks at the front door. Decor that doesn't get boring. lots of things to do within a short drive. Good restaurants, cafes and takaways within short drives. pet friendly. picturesque beauty in all directions. CONS> no central heating system so it's cold (we stayed in April) there is an Aga cooker and Wood burner downstairs electricheaters in the bedrooms once they all get going its not bad, the bathroom is baltic nothing you can do about it. it does say on the listing that there is no washing machine and dishwasher but I'd like to come again and stay for longer and I think this is a must especially for the price. also its very cluttered with old condiments in the kitchen they need all thrown out. the patio could do with a brushing and tidy up. plus there is an old bath tub sitting in the bush up beside the pink chair. lastly the fridge and frezzer is too small if staying for a week.
