Linden House Slane Co Meath

Susan and Nigel's place is outstanding! Charming and elegant, amazing attention to detail, cozy and comfortable. A great location, with a few pubs and restaurants within walking distance, plus so much within a short drive. No trouble parking right out front. Our only regret was that the rain prevented us from enjoying the patio out back. We felt privileged to stay in this lovely home, surrounded by art.
A sunlit outdoor space features a small table set with two plates, each holding a croissant. Two glasses filled with orange juice stand beside the plates. Lush greenery frames the pathway leading to a grassy area in the background.

Carmelita is an excellent host. The house is spacious and homely. Everything you need. The cafe nearby is lovely for breakfast or lunch and Carlingford is a stones throw away. Whitestone beach is a great stroll followed by a pint in Lily Finnaghan’s. Celtic Clays in Omeath a few miles away is a hidden gem with beautiful pottery and unique gifts.

Stunning location, Omeath

DeanRating, 5 stars8 months ago
This converted barn is in a great location, just a few minutes drive from the local village (Omeath - with a great pub which is child and dog friendly!). Also well located if visiting Carlingford. The house itself has everything you need and is set in expansive gardens (perfect for our dog). Samantha & Terry are great hosts - very welcoming and we had great communication from the moment we booked. They were very accommodating for our 1.5yr old son, with highchair, travel cot and toys provided. Highly recommend their place - hope to stay again soon.
The exterior of the home is showcased, featuring a modern brick façade and large bay windows that enhance natural light. A small seating area is visible in front, surrounded by well-maintained greenery, and a paved driveway leads to the entrance.

Cosy Home in Blackrock, Co. Louth

TraceyRating, 5 stars22 months ago
We had an amazing 3 days staying at Marcus’s beautiful townhouse. We felt very comfortable and it was so nice that we didn’t want to go out at all (the Irish weather wasn’t great 😂) The town house was beautifully decorated, exactly as pictured. Like something out of a magazine but it was homely and very comfortable. It had everything you could possibly need. The backyard was delightful. We did have a hire car so we could easily get to the seaside at Blackrock, where there were some great pubs and restaurants. I highly recommend Marcus’s place and would happily stay there again. Marcus was a very considerate host and was easily contactable, he was attentive but not intrusive. Thanks so much for a wonderful long weekend. Tracey, Sydney Australia. 🦘🦘

We had a fantastic stay at this lovely house! It has everything you need. There is a bright spacious kitchen and sitting room, perfect for relaxing and spending time together. The large well kept enclosed garden , was a safe space for our dogs. Located a few steps up the road, we enjoyed a great pub and a charming bakery / coffee shop, called Charlotte's Place, delish baked goods. 🙌🏻 and a little further there is a shop too. The host left us a cute welcome message and treat and some thoughtful essentials, making us feel right at home. Thank you. The house is located less than 10 minutes drive to Carlingford town. Both the host and co-host were incredibly friendly and maintained great communication. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Escape to Carlingford

Aine PaulaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Sinead's place was really peaceful, we felt right at home. we loved the photos of how the house looked before and there has been alot of effort to bring it up to it's current standard. It was great to have a lovely shower as it was a little wet over the weekend. The proximity to Lily Finnegans pub was excellent 👌 and there was music in both nights and every weekend. Templetown Beach was 10 mins away and great for the dog. It would be great to have stayed longer and would be comfortable for a week or more. Hopefully we can go back soon.

Our stay at this historic Céilí House was unforgettable! From the moment we arrived, the homemade soda bread and treats made us feel instantly welcome. The blend of original stonework and modern comforts created a cozy, inviting atmosphere. Spacious bedrooms and a fully equipped kitchen made family meals a joy. Cool, breezy days were brightened by the sunroom, which felt like summer inside. When the sun came out, we loved relaxing in the beautiful outdoor space. The peaceful setting and Niamh’s attention to every detail made our stay seamless. Ryan’s wood sculptures are stunning—his craftsmanship is exceptional, and we couldn’t leave without one. The location is perfect: minutes from Carlingford and Omeath, with amazing views and activities for all ages. Ideal for anyone seeking tranquility, adventure, and Irish charm. We highly recommend it and can’t wait to return, especially with Dublin and Belfast just an hour away!

We enjoyed walking the great eastern greenway from Omeath to Carlingford, and back! With great views of the Lough and mountains! We also enjoyed a nice lunch when we just walked up to the An Tain cafe, lovely food and friendly staff. Thanks again Bruno & Ann for a lovely stay 😊

We had an absolutely lovely stay. The pod was so comfortable and peaceful, exactly what we wanted for a night away to relax. There was a lot of communication with the host which was extremely helpful and clear instructions given on how to get in and use the hot tub etc. The outdoor area is so relaxing with a lovely view, perfect for a chill night and drink watching the sunset. Additionally wine and snacks were left for us which was a lovely surprise. The bed was extremely comfortable and the shower was lovely. 10/10 stay we will absolutely return. :)

Geraldine and Derek are the perfect hosts. Totally felt at home on arrival and the lovely touch of fresh milk, bread, eggs and bread was a lovely welcoming touch. Highly recommend Geraldines reflexology amd back massage including cupping. Just put us into relaxation mode straight away. Sarahs cottage was perfect and our 2 little dogs loved running around the garden. Gear location for trabelling to various tourist attractions. Need to go back to see more as 2 days was not enough. You will not be disappointing if you want tranquility and relaxation
