Rose Cottage is comfortable and magical! We really enjoyed our two nights there. It’s a perfect combination of genuine old-world charm (those wonderful thick walls!) and comfortable, convenient, beautiful updates and interior design. The kitchen is charming and well-equipped for a longer stay. The hosts were incredibly helpful and provided so much useful information in advance. We loved watching the swan on the lake opposite the cottage! Great launch point for exploring County Clare. Very much recommended and we’d love to come again!

Lakehouse Art Deco retreat

RoryRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Had a great stay at the lakehouse, its a beautiful location and very remote, so extremely peaceful. We were lucky with the weather and had a perfectly calm lake and magnificant sunsets most evenings. The house has amazing lake views and you could spend hours relaxing in the living room enjoying the serenity. We liked having access to the private pier, to do some fishing didn't require a boat, and pike and perch were caught every day. Having a great supply of coffee pods and a machine was great and appreciated. A very special house that I hope to return to again some day. Madeline was a great host and made us feel very welcome. A Romantic Getaway Lakeshore 1 bed Lodge for 2 per

JulianaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Immaculate flat (or really half of a cottage) right on Lough Derg and 5 minutes walk from the lovely town of Mountshannon. Very comfortable, lovely views, gorgeous light. Aisling was very helpful, responsive and accommodating. We had a wonderful bank holiday weekend and would love to go back. Highly recommend the Birchwood Sauna parked nearby, the Berrytree Cafe and the Snug pizzeria in town. Note that Keane's pub only takes cash and your nearest ATM is in Scariff. Also, if you want to cook for yourself the nearest sizeable grocery store is in Portumna. Essentials can be bought in the Gala in Mountshannon or in nearby Scariff.
