Family-friendly vacation rentals in Cooperstown

What an amazing property!!! We are a family of five and were able to spread out, do laundry and play games in the garage. Extremely clean, plenty of kitchen stuff, towels, it is a comfortable home. We had some confusion in the beginning and Doug called immediately help us. The property is secluded, with lots of land to walk or just sit and enjoy the surroundings. The games in the garage were great, in good condition and dad won the shuffle board tournament. If we go back to Cooperstown, this is the only place I would stay. Also loved Jackie’s Restaurant in Milford!!! This ranks as the #1 property we have rented for vacation.

The house was very clean. The views are stunning. Only 15 mins from Cooperstown. Loved being right on the water. My family had a great time.

We enjoyed our quiet stay. We did a hike that was recommended in the guidebook and visited the used book store that was also recommended, but otherwise stayed in. Couches and beds were comfortable and we found everything that we needed in the kitchen.

This home was absolutely beautiful and surpassed our expectations! The views are incredible. The house was clean and had everything we needed for our long weekend stay. The primary bedroom bed was so comfortable. Radiant heating floors for our winter stay were also awesome. Amazing fireplace and chopped wood on-site. The hosts were so lovely and responsive. A bit of a dirt road to get to the house, but nothing an all-wheel car can't handle. 15/20 minutes to Windham town and great proximity to anything you'd need. We would certainly come back. Fantastic stay all around!

Great spot easy walk into town, quiet. Our favorite house in Oneonta to stay!

This is a great place to stay! Felt at home as soon as walked in. All the modern conveniences while maintaining the beautiful history of the house. Travelling with adult kids and friends, plenty of room for everyone. Well appointed kitchen and baths, lots of blankets for an April visit, and the location was perfect for us. Easy walk to Ommegang and easy drive to downtown Cooperstown and several other more local breweries and eateries. We had a blast! Emily was more than accommodating with quick responses and flexibility, really appreciate her as a host. We look forward to our next visit, which will be a little later in the season so we can take advantage of the outdoor area and front porch. Can't wait!

The location is fantastic and the amenities are plentiful! A wonderful house for gathering with friends and family. There are 6 bedrooms, four of which have an attached full bathroom. The basement area was great with options to play air hockey, ping pong, or hook up a gaming console to the large screen TV. The hosts were very responsive and flexible, particularly when it came to checking in and out. To future guests with pets: this house is in the wilderness, so be prepared to check your pups for ticks.

The place was great! A quick five mile drive from town. Valerie was responsive anytime we needed anything.

We had an amazing stay at Kristen’s condo with our family—my husband, our toddler, and our dog. The location was perfect—secluded and peaceful, but still close to hiking trails and charming small towns. The condo was cozy, clean, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing weekend. Kristen was responsive and helpful, making our stay even better. Highly recommend for a family getaway!

This Airbnb is completely amazing. It is beautiful. It is spacious. It is great for a group. It comes fully stocked with most of the basic things you need like a fully functional kitchen with things like syrup and jam and all of that in there. The host was completely responsive. If you are planning to go to ski, it is close to the mountain. I completely enjoyed our stay.

Had a great time at the cozy cabin. It's a cabin but still has some nice amenities. Location is somewhat close to road, you can hear occasional cars go by. Still, back by the pond it feels like being away from it all. I had a blast hiking local trails and enjoying the foliage.

Nice home in a quiet area

This was a absolute gem of an Airbnb. The location was everything my wife and I imagine for our kids to grow up in one day. The plot of land the home sat on was one from a fairytale. Melody was a great host. We will 100% be back to this location.

Rob's home is directly across the street from Cooperstown Dreams Park and was the perfect spot for us to watch our 12 year old play. I could easily run my parents home between games to cool off in the A/C. The pool was a welcome spot for several of the boys on the team and the coaches. Rob was very kind, and welcoming. A perfect stay for any family playing at Dreams Park!

We were staying at this rental because our son was playing at Cooperstown All Star Village for the week. We received quite a few notifications leading up, and even including an earlier check-in time. Everything that we needed was available to us, and we truly felt at home. Would definitely rent from them again if we end up coming up here again for one of our other sons. And the added pens, when we arrived where I hit with my younger boys. Thank you so much!

My family stayed here for a weekend trip to Windham. The location to the ski area was very close, only 6 minutes away. There were plenty of nearby restaurants, markets, and coffee. The house is clean and cozy and perfect for a family of 4 or 5.

Julie's home is a great base for Catskills winter skiing. We were 4 adults/3 kids under 10 and there was plenty of space and sleeping options. Julie was SUPER responsive and took time to make sure our short stay was a pleasant experience. The home is well laid out with a large living room, plenty of comfortable seating and tons of games and books. Home was easy to find, we received 7 inches of snow the night we stayed and the roads were plowed early the next morning.

Thoroughly enjoyed my time at the cabin. It's remote, which is exactly what I was looking for, but Margaretville proper is really close if you need anything -- only 10 mins to CVS or groceries, etc. The cabin is spacious and offers everything you need for a pleasant stay, with great attention to detail: blackout curtains, coffee, washer/dryer, a big table for eating or for work, and a huge, comfy couch. Most important, it felt like a home, rather than an Airbnb, which is increasingly hard to find these days. Do heed the reviews re: the driveway -- you'll want to be confident that your vehicle is okay in mud/ice/snow.

Bernie was a great host. He met us to greet us and check us in and show us around the place because it is a little unique. The house is wonderful and oozes with history. There are a couple things about the set up of the unit to be aware of. The kitchen is completely enclosed within the house so there are no windows and no way to exhaust fumes - just be aware of this so you do not unwittingly set off the smoke alarm and disturb the neighbors in adjacent units. Also, the door to the bathroom, which is between the two bedrooms within the cottage unit doesn't lock, so you will need to come up with a system to alert your travel partners when someone is using the bathroom to avoid walking in on each other. Other than those two points for awareness, though, everything else is great. The bedrooms are huge, the beds are comfortable, the linens are pristine, the kitchen has everything you need, and the house is right by Otsego Lake and only a block from Main St. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Our stay at Eva's place was exactly as expected. The kitchen was well stocked, beds were comfortable and the house was conveniently located for skiing & visits to Windham town.

Robert and Sandra were so helpful in making sure we were able to get the experience we were hoping for. The cabin is beautiful and we enjoyed looking through the photos of its construction. It was clean, comfortable, and very private.

I manage airbnbs and I'm a little leary sometimes staying at them. This airbnb is excellent. There is so much attention to detail. The hosts provide great instructions for check-in, the house in general, and check out. The place was spotless and flawlessly decorated. The beds were firm and extremely comfortable, the linens were great quality, upgrades made the place a really great stay. Everyone in our group loved it!

Location was great- close to the ski mountain and walkable to restaurants & bars. Suzanne was very easy to communicate with. The property manager met us when we arrived and guided us through check in. He was very helpful.

Very comfortable and felt great to be inside this special little cabin. We brought our dogs and they were well accommodated here. The immediate road the house is on isn’t the best for walks but there’s lots of beautiful trails just a short drive a way. Although we were there during a very icy winter, I think the river behind the house would be fun to enjoy other seasons. Also great restaurants super close to the house.
