Or, if you prefer to sit and relax and read a book, the view from the deck or living room couch of the Anchorage skyline and Denali/Mt. McKinley is spectacular.

Rustic and charming hand-laid log cabin 15 minutes beyond Homer. Enjoy what Homer has to offer a short ride away, or enjoy the more rural vibe of East End Rd. A hike at Eveline State Recreation Area, lunch at the Fritz Creek General Store, and dinner and cocktails at The Homestead restaurant very nearby make for a nice weekend getaway. Simply and cozily furnished with comfy linens, basic cookware, wifi and toiletry equipped bathroom with single walk-in shower.

Historic Russian Cabin With Ocean Views

The hand hewn log cabin was built in the late 1800's by Russian settlers and is located in the historic native/Russian settlement of Ninilchik. (An idyllic village that sits on the Cook Inlet, through which the lovely winding Ninilchik River runs.) 180 mile drive from anchorage and only 35 miles from famous Homer, Alaska on the Kachemak bay. You will have total privacy but if you need anything im a 5 minute walk down the road and always reachable by phone.

Our domes are located on the Twin Rivers Wilderness, an absolutely unique 520 acre private wilderness within the Anchor River Fritz Creek Critical Habitat Area. Surrounded by nothing but nature, wildlife, trails and rivers. You will be truly remote, yet only a 30 minute drive outside of Homer, the coolest small town in Alaska.
