Townhome vacation rentals in Compiègne

Nelly and her husband were very helpful and picked us up at Compiègne train station. They left us 2 bikes for short local trips. They were very kind throughout the stay. We tasted the currants from their garden and enjoyed the outdoor space, which was very pleasant with the sun!

Such a great find! A lovely, charming and spacious property a 20 minute walk from Amiens City Centre. Exactly as described and pictured, felt right at home straight away. Clean and well equipped, really can't fault it. Laure left helpful instructions and dropped us a line during our stay to check all was well. Super value all round, we hope to be back soon!

Overall we had a nice stay. The small grass courtyard was enjoyed by the children. Bright living room thanks to the veranda space.

Laurent was extremely helpful, for example, in expaining best public transport options to get to places. Always answered very promptly any/all questions eg where to park. Do book this house if you like 1970’s design classics, want to be in a real home in a very nice area (lovely houses to look at when walking to Lake or train station). Don’t book this house if you are expecting a bland, characterless place with no quirks. The stairs, for instance, are a little tricky especially if more than one person using them. We failed to understand that the water pressure being low was an eco friendly thing - think can increase it if wanted! The house is in a ‘real’ part of town - not a tourist ghetto - so no loud partying outside to upset the neighbours!

An Art Deco Gem with Exceptional Hospitality We had the absolute pleasure of staying at Maison en centre ville avec extérieur in Compiègne, and it was nothing short of outstanding. The house has a warm, welcoming feel from the moment you step inside — immaculately clean, tastefully styled with Art Deco charm, and boasting gorgeous en-suite rooms that made us feel both relaxed and a little bit spoiled. Vanessa, the host, was incredible from start to finish — kind, attentive, and full of local knowledge. She even went the extra mile to arrange secure parking for our motorbikes at her nearby property, behind locked gates, which helped us sleep that little bit easier. To top it all off, she booked us a table at La Fontaine — a charming local restaurant just 10 minutes’ walk away — and it turned out to be one of the best meals of the trip. A perfect end to a perfect day. Couldn’t recommend this stay highly enough. Thank you, Vanessa — we’ll be back!

Very nice apartment well located in this pretty little town of Senlis full of charm. Very comfortable. Free parking a good 5 min walk. Excellent bakery just next to the apartment. I recommend the Tibet restaurant, which is a great value for money. Thanks for our stay!

Beautiful house quiet and close to all amenities. The city center is a 10min walk and you can shop there and find plenty of restaurants. Really quiet place where you can easily park your car. Christelle was accommodating with check-in and checkout times. The interior is like the photos. I would this property.

Absolutely loved the charming city of Senlis and this little cottage was the perfect place to call home while we explored it and the surrounding areas. A+ location… a hidden gem on a quiet street right in the middle of the historic city center. Close to restaurants, shops and all of the points of interest. The home was well equipped in the kitchen and house and linens were clean. A very minor drawback for us was that the couch was tiny and hard. We like to lounge and play cards at the end of a long day of being tourists and, unfortunately, it was just not happening on that sofa. Regardless, I would still 100% recommend this adorable place. We really loved it! Also, just an FYI, something that wasn’t in the ad (and you can’t really tell from the pictures) was that the staircase is very steep, the treads are very narrow and it doesn’t have a handrail the whole way. It’s almost like a spiral staircase and if you have any issues with stairs it could be problematic for sure.

Great stay here. The apartment was spotless. Very good communication. There were even toys and a high chair for our son. Very kind attention from the host. I would recommend spending some time here 🙂

Had a great stay! Been a week with husband and three children, with the fast train you can reach Gare du Nord in 18 minutes. Enjoyed Paris, and also our place. Wonderful beds, fully equipped kitchen. Everything was thought of! We will definitely come back!

We absolutely loved our stay at Ulrich’s place! The house was amazing, the village beautiful with so much history, and we loved having Daubigny the cat to cuddle! The most affectionate cat we have ever met! Hope he isn’t too lonely without us! Very happy we chose to stay out of the city, was super easy to get into Paris for Olympic events on the trains and nice to escape the craziness at the end of the day by returning to our quiet village! Ulrich was great to deal with, replying to my questions quickly and checking in on how I went after the marathon! Would definitely return and would love to spend more time in that area of France, it is stunning! Thanks Ulrich!

My husband and I did not want to live directly in the hustle and bustle of Paris, so Isabelle's accommodation was very convenient for us. A nice quiet area, just outside Paris. Beautifully quiet, well-maintained with views of the sweet garden. The accommodation is very stylish, new and practical. The bathroom was very clean and modern. Everything you need is there. We lacked nothing. Isabelle was very accommodating and friendly. We would choose this location again and again. Thank you very much to the hosts!

We had a wonderful stay in an exotic place! Everything was perfect!!! Magalie is smiling, available and really nice. The house… what to say? MAGNIFICENT, furnished to perfection with a lot of charm, details and with the little historical respect of the place! Everything is functional and very good quality! The outdoor space is very pleasant, natural, quiet, sunny, a small haven of exotic peace! The little extras offered (aperitif boards; breakfasts) are carefully presented, local products and home cooking really don't stop at Magalie's without enjoying it! I recommend this rental without a second thought, you will only be enchanted by this little cocoon.

Richard and Magda are a charming and very welcoming couple. We were a group of nine and although we arrived quite late (after 9 p.m.) they wanted to welcome us and give us a tour of the house. Their house is also clean and tidy, charming and well-equipped. We had a great time. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an exotic stay less than 2 hours from the north of Paris.
