Hanalei (Han-a-lay) Cottage

CarolynRating, 5 stars34 months ago
Sandpiper cottages were cosy and close to the beach. We liked the idea of closing off the deck so the dogs could go outside. The place was ideal for us and close enough for an evening trip to Bicheno to see the lightshow in July.
A charming white house with a sloping roof is surrounded by vibrant purple flowers and lush green plants. The well-maintained garden leads to a pathway that connects to the street, which offers a view of the bay in the distance.

Swansea House in beautiful beachside town.

SharonRating, 5 stars14 months ago
Catherine’s home is terrific: lovely, within walking distance of places to eat (we loved the RSL); the kitchen was NOT too small-there was plenty of room for both of us with a well-stocked pantry with olive oil, vinegar, a variety of spices, mustards…it is in easy driving distance of so many places to eat/see. We wouldn’t hesitate to say “just book it”. You’ll be glad you did

Our trip was short and sweet - but we wish we had booked longer! Location and accommodation was simply stunning, couldn't have asked for more. Lots of little touches that made us feel relaxed and in holiday-mode! Thanks for having us!

Secluded beach front retreat with a heated pool

JulieRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Perfection. Attention to detail- even in the kitchen…we had all the dishes and utensils necessary to cook like a chef at the house! There are even pantry items there- so check on that before running to the grocery store in town because we bought doubles in some things. I’m sure the selections in the pantry will vary. In addition, there may be garden produce ready for the picking!! Make sure and check with the host first- that will be seasonal, I’m sure. Beds are comfortable, showers have hot water, tub with jets is helpful after a day of sight-seeing. As owner notes, it isn’t hot, just warm…but it was still a good experience. Decks overlook bay/ocean- you get to witness the changing colors of the Hazards throughout the day standing over the bay. And if you are wondering- we saw amazing Aurora lights out over the water! Windows everywhere! Just incredible’views- there are no words. And you boy minutes from Swansea. Host has a book with restaurant suggestions. Grocery.❤️
A comfortable lounge area is positioned near large windows, offering unobstructed views of the surrounding mountains and greenery. Soft cushions in warm tones adorn the seating, inviting relaxation. A wooden table rests nearby, completing the cozy setting.

The Loft ~ Luxury & Stunning Views

NancyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This house is amazing and the views are incredible. Even more beautiful than the pictures. The architecture of this house is very unique and allows for awesome views from many rooms. The kitchen was well stocked and the house was extremely clean when we arrived. My only complaint (which is minor) is that even though there were 4 rooms they only made up one bed. My husband snores and sometimes I move to another room for better sleep. I wasn’t able to do this because only one bed had sheets.
A bright and inviting living area features a comfortable brown sofa facing a wooden coffee table. Large windows with light curtains allow natural light to fill the space, while a window seat with red cushions adds cozy seating. A television is positioned against the adjacent wall.

Maria's at Swansea - entire home

JohnRating, 5 stars27 months ago
To reiterate what many have said, Maria’s is a spacious, clean, comfortable and excellently equipped place to stay. It’s such a short walk to the general store and beach and was a perfect base to visit the rest of Tasmania’s east coast from. Julie was really attentive and made sure we had everything we needed, and was flexible with our check in and out times: a massive plus when you have a young child.
A charming heritage-style cottage is surrounded by well-maintained gardens featuring a variety of shrubs and greenery. The building showcases a teal roof and multiple large windows, inviting natural light into the interior spaces.

Salt Shack | coastal charm, steps from the surf

TamRating, 5 stars1 month ago
It really is the home away from home. Nestled in an internal block set back from the road it was so peaceful and quiet but still close walking distance to the beach and local shops. The place itself was clean and inviting and had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. It's somewhere I would book and stay again in a heartbeat and totally recommend as a awesome place to stay.

Forest Edge ~ Ocean & forest views

KatharineRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This house was such a delight to stay in. The rooms allowed for four adults to comfortably stay and have their own spaces. The view is exactly like the photographs which was great to see. The house is very close to the local shops and Freycinet. The drive is a little steep but with a reverse camera you should have no issues getting out. The washer/dryer was much appreciated after a long holiday traveling Tasmania. Would highly recommend.
