Family-friendly vacation rentals in Cole Harbour

We had the pleasure to stay for the month of August. Great location overlooking a lake, just a short walk to a small quiet beach on the ocean. An old railway track converted to biking/walking path close by. Close to groceries and restaurants. Great location for day trips to Peggy’s cove/Halifax boardwalk/many parks and beaches. The home had everything you need. Just bring your swim trunks and spirit of adventure. We highly recommend a stay at this lovely spot.

We came for the Hunter Moon and fell in love with the sunsets and walking on the beach. Lots of places to explore in the area.

What a beautiful location. The suite had everything we needed and we fell asleep to the sound of the surf. Need to go back and stay longer!

Our family was coming for a wedding- it was a stunning place for us to gather and enjoy - reality- I wish would have been able to stay longer. I highly recommend this place- stunning space and great hosts. Can’t wait to come back. Thank you for everything.

Most of what I'm saying is echoing what other Guests have said - it's all still true for 2024: Morry is great to work with, cottage is clean and well-equipped,  the views here are wonderful, beds are comfy and the layout worked well for us with the two main floor bedrooms on opposite sides.  The kitchen is a good size and the two full bathrooms are like new. There's a great hike trailhead a stone's throw away and, if you haven't already, you will fall in love with Prospect, NS!!

This place was just what we needed for our stay in Halifax. We were within walking distance of local restaurants and a cycle shop where we could rent bikes. The inside was cosy, clean, and really made you feel welcome. Andrea was responsive and a lovely host! Would definitely recommend. :)

This was a very convenient location for our trip as it was close to the harbour and along a bus route which made getting around very easy. The apartment was very clean and tidy when we arrived and we had what we needed to make our stay comfortable. Since it is a basement we did encounter a few moths who chose to dwell with us but it was not unmanageable. The instructions given for accessing the apartment and house rules were very clearly laid out which made checking in and out easy.

We had an incredible trip at Candace's place. The home was stunning and was perfect for our group of 6. If you have the opportunity to book your trip to Halifax here, I would definitely recommend!

Barrie is a wonderful host and the location of this home is truly incredible. We had everything we needed, plus our own island! We hope to be back!

My family really enjoyed our stay here! It was such a convenient location. The beds were very cozy and we felt completely at home.

We stayed at Krista and Stephen's place for 2 months in the winter and it was fabulous! The house had so many wonderful amenities and the location was perfect. The dogs loved running around the yard and we were right beside a trail for wonderful morning walks. The sunset and sunrise views from the house are unbelievable. I'd highly recommend!

The accommodation was as described. It was spacious and very well equipped with comfortable dining, seating and bedroom areas. The location was convenient for accessing the highway , the Eastern Shore and Halifax . Grocery, fuel and restaurants were nearby as were walking trails. I would definitely stay again.

My brother and I stayed at Sammi’s location for several days while we moved our mother to Moody Hall, enhanced care. His property was a peaceful place to stay at the end of a long and very stressful days. Close proximity to places to eat, shop and a quiet location. Fresh bed linens and fluffy white towels were appreciated. Shower is good and the kitchen and bathroom are spotless. I would recommend staying there.

This was a perfect location - walkable to the harbor area, stores and restaurants and just a few blocks from a grocery store. The location felt very safe. The mattress was comfortable and the entire place was very clean. Ryan was extremely responsive and proactive. We were allowed to access the place a bit earlier than set check in time. Ryan helped with parking (parking limits not imposed after 4 pm or on weekends) which made parking a breeze. I’d definitely recommend staying here and would stay again if I was in the area.

absolutely loved our stay at this location! beds were super comfortable and the place was so clean. lots of bathrooms which is perfect for multiple guest and there was many work office setups for those on the go. located super close to the highway, but just far enough that you're not hearing any of it. Also one of the big plus is that its very easy to go anywhere in Bedford/Halifax/Dartmouth from that location. we had multiple activities to go to and coming back to this location was always a breeze. I will certainly book this again whenever I'm around Halifax with a large group and also will recommend this booking to anyone going in the city for activities!

my wife and I booked this place during our Salt Scapes Expo weekend. we needed a place close to the venue and with a good size fridge to keep our product cold for the weekend. we felt right at home and safe.. close to restaurants, shopping and grocery. we would definitely return if looking for a place to stay in the future. very very friendly host :)

This conveniently located and charming historic property was a delight! Be advised that it's on the 3rd floor, accessible by narrow stairs. I had trouble getting my overly large suitcase up and down (my own fault)! Very convenient location for exploring Halifax.
