Family-friendly vacation rentals in Clarks Hill Lake

Stella’s home was clean, the home was as pictured. The host was very responsive we needed extra towels and the jetted tub did not work and they came the next day to repair. The home is in a quiet neighborhood close to all restaurants and stores. I would recommend staying if you are in the area. The only issue I have is the outside could use some landscaping.

House was great. Very convenient to the Masters. Tons of room. Clean. Very well stocked kitchen and the outdoor area is AWESOME! Master is huge and the secondary bedrooms are good sized. Gym is great for a quick workout with dumbbells up to 90#. Owner was great and very responsive. Only issue I would "ding" this place on was that there were no shampoo or bath soap in the master bathroom so you had to get your own and the fish tanks were noisy until we unplugged them (with the owners permission!). Those are super minor in the grand scheme of things. I would still give this place 5 stars. I would definitely rent again.

The best BnB we have ever stayed in. Everything was extremely lovingly furnished and the entire house was really impressive. We had a wonderful time and contact with the landlords was always easy. The pictures in the ad do not reflect the true beauty of the property. Simply outstanding. We'd love to come back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home is lovely and spacious with a well-equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. The grounds and surrounding area are so pretty and peaceful. The hosts were very accommodating and helpful, and quick to respond both before and during our stay. Loved the hot tub too!

This was the best family trip we have had. We all had our own spaces with beautiful surroundings. Our entire trip was spent at the house. The pool was perfect and the lake was great for fishing.

Great outdoor spaces, a screened in porch and a hot tub, very private. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped. Linda was great, very prompt communication. I would definitely recommend a stay here. I can't wait to come back.

The home was exactly what was described. It was spacious, comforting and clean. The home and river was a very relaxing environment. We had an absolute wonderful stay. The host was very responsive and accommodating. We will be scheduling future stays!

Loved our stay. The ducks and the tub and the field view of cute animals were a hoot to watch. So entertaining. The cabin was quaint and shockingly more than enough space for such a tiny building. Jeremy was super responsive and answered our questions immediately. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay!

Cyd’s cottage is one of those places that you just NEED to book. It’s truly beautiful- the pictures do not do it justice, nor do my words. I felt such peace while my family and I were there. The sunrises and sunsets were *so wonderful*. The birdwatching was a highlight for me. The cottage is decorated with exceptionally beautiful antiques in each room- I could go on and on about this place. I’m truly grateful for the visit my family and I had at Cyd’s cottage.

Amazing place! The cottage is awesome and very peaceful, tucked way back in the woods. You are surrounded by farm animals, and if you'd like, each morning you can help feed and water them all! Kat is an amazing host and extremely fun and helpful. 100% will book and visit again. Highly recommend. Thank you again!

Andy’s place was exactly as described and perfect for our occasion! Andy was also very responsive and very helpful when I needed anything and we love that this place accommodates dogs! We would definitely stay here again !

This was a return stay at Ande's place and it was fantastic just like the previous stay. Their place is neatly tucked away from the main road and a short walk / drive from plenty of restaurants and stores. The place itself is kept very tidy and clean, quiet and perfect for spring & summer weather enjoyment. Check in is easy and Ande is a very responsive host. 10 of 10 would recommend staying here if you're in the Athens area. Thank you, Ande!

We had a wonderful relaxing week at the lake. The house was inviting and cozy and stocked with everything we needed. The exterior was very well maintained with beautiful landscaping. Mary was very helpful and responsive to any questions we had. We loved our stay and would highly recommend.

We needed a place on short notice, and this property was luckily available. We’re so glad we chose this retreat. It has all the charm that old that made South Carolina famous. The sunset views are magnificent and it was restful and peaceful. So glad we had the chance to experience it.

Our family enjoyed our time at Leslie’s place. Perfect location for our family trip for Clemson graduation. We had enough space and the ground floor made it perfect for the older folks. Strongly recommend staying here if visiting Clemson for any reason. If you have a specific bed requirement, you should note both the mattress and pillows were very soft. As someone who prefers a sturdier pillow and firmer mattress, I did end up using a different pillow my daughter brought us from her apartment. Outside of that I can’t say enough good things about our experience. Would 100% stay here again. Leslie is lovely.

Wow! What an awesome home! Natalie was so accommodating and quick to respond! When we arrived, we were surprised at how much bigger the house was in person! The kitchen and amazing screened in porch is where we spent the majority of our time! The beautiful Lake Jocassee Is only about 40 mins away and definitely worth the drive! Thank you so much Natalie!!! We hope to be back for another friendcation next year!!!

We had a great stay overall. The location was awesome! A little bit of updating to the unit would be good but overall nice place. The only real issues we had was that when we arrived it was half cleaned but Deborah got back to us immediately, the cleaning was finished that night. It was because of a mix up with the cleaning person's schedule so was not a big deal. It was taken care of quickly. I would suggest getting a new locking system for front door because it is very tricky to get it to lock. One bathroom had a slight leak from back of the faucet that needs a fix but we let Deborah know about it. Other than that beds were clean and very comfortable. The patio area was large and really nice! I would stay there again and would recommend this condo. Great location and beautiful lakefront spot.

Kelly’s Airbnb home was a fantastic peaceful oasis. Comfortable, clean and lovely!! A short drive to the show and Hitchcock woods. We loved staying there!!

Our friends that live down the street from this place were having a birthday get together. We stayed here for Memorial Day weekend and it was amazing! Very quiet and beautiful place. Wish we would have had more time to be able to use the pool. Will definitely be back when we come to visit the area.

Great Airbnb if you’re going to Athens, especially if you have business at the university! The place is very nice and pretty clean. I would stay here again if I were to come back to the area.
