Our stay at this property was outstanding. Marc was exceptionally accommodating, particularly with our late check-in, and his hospitality made us feel very welcome. The location served as an ideal home base for our exploration of Cape Breton and the Cabot Trail. We highly recommend this place to future travelers and sincerely hope to return in the future.

We wouldn’t change a thing! The house was adorable, spotless, has a beautiful view and Vee left muffins and fruit in the house waiting for us! Loved being able to use a washer and dryer, everything seemed new and comfy, not like “leftovers” being used to decorate a rental. Do not pass on this home!!!

Staying at Clarke & Shelley’s was great! The place was very nice, tidy and clean. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. There was shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the shower. The rooms were spacious and the windows let in a lot of natural light. The place felt very private, as there is nobody else living in the house (the top floor is just for storage). Great to see the sun setting over the sea on a cloudless evening. Shelley was very friendly and made us feel very comfortable.

Highly recommend this stay if you are seeking peaceful nature and a relaxing stay. Eagle flights and sunset sights. Don’t wait to book it, you will not regret it!

Great host! We stayed for work to conduct some field work in the area and it was always great returning back to see all the animals and feed some goats! Beautiful property and right in nature! Kim was a great host and recommended a challenging, but rewarding hike in the area that leads to a beautiful vista and some exciting finds!

Very responsive and proactive with instructions and things to do, eat, see in the Cheticamp and surrounding area. This chalet is beautifully decorated, well equipped (no detail has been missed) and everything is of quality. Very clean, great, private, easy to find location. You will not be disappointed when you stay here. Thank you for providing the perfect location for two families to make memories.

Darling home on the edge of a small inlet, on the outskirts of Chéticamp. The house was just as described and had everything we could have needed during our stay. Great base if you’re looking for a place to stay along the Cabot Trail. Would recommend! (I would also recommend L’abri and Woodroad if you’re looking for excellent restaurants in the area :))

Sharon’s riverside cottage was a great end to our NS vacation. We spent many hours enjoying all the amazing seating areas on the property, but especially enjoyed coffee and meals down on the water. Sharon made us feel at home and was the most amazing host we’ve had throughout our stay. We would recommend this beautiful cottage to anyone looking for a relaxing location on Cape Breton.

1. Place is amazing. It's better than it looks in photos. 2. We absolutely loved the cleanliness and the way everything was setup. Small touches of perfection everywhere. Even the home temperature was perfect. 3. We loved the goodies. They were like a pleasant surprise. 4. The views were absolutely stunning. Could watch it all day long. 5. Many great trails including skyline trails are short drive. 6. Host Daniel was super responsive, helpful, and kind with everything. 7. The kitchen was well setup. Everything that we could have asked for, was there. Thank you for setting up the place in such a wonderful way. This place is highly recommended if you are in the area and want a nice peaceful place to stay.

Beautiful and private. The only problem was that the weather wasn’t great for kayaking.

Very clean and modern house with everything needed, down to needle and thread. Beds are very comfy, bedrooms spacious. Butter, cooking oil and condiments included, which makes cooking a lot easier when you’re travelling. Highly recommended!

The lodge was beautiful. The location was so peaceful and with amazing views. I would love to come back one summer and see the area in a different season. Michael was a fab host and we throughly enjoyed our stay. Thanks so much.

Location is superb due to proximity to amenities. Sunsets from the deck were amazing every night. We will be back.

We were delighted to meet Catherine and her husband, and the view behind their home was outstanding. The apartment is like a mother-in-law, attached to their home. Very sweet. We found the bed a bit uncomfortable, but everything else was perfect.

Le logement dépassait nos attentes. Le logement est bien équipé, très propre, lumineux ainsi que bien situé près de plusieurs commodités et activités. La vue pour prendre son café le matin est magnifique. Fara est disponible, elle répond rapidement aux messages et nous a donné plusieurs suggestions pour notre séjour. C'est un endroit chaleureux où séjouner en famille, nous le recommanderions sans hésiter!

Nous avons adoré l’appartement!! Il est impeccable à tout point de vue!! C’est chaleureux, invitant et plein de belles attentions pour nous! Nous regrettons sincèrement de ne pas avoir réservé plus longtemps ici! C’est un endroit coup de cœur de notre voyage, vraiment!Frederico est très convivial et disponible! Merci pour le beau séjour!
