This house was a great find. In a little street on am estate, but close to nice walks down by the water. Good local amenities. The house was wonderful. So much space downstairs and a lovely garden. Upstairs was access to 2 double bedrooms and a family bathroom. It was clean, tidy and well maintained. We appreciated the welcome stocks too of biscuits, bread, milk, butter and jam. There were treats and bowls left for the dog too. We would happily stay again if we needed to be in the area. Suzanne was a great, friendly, responsive host.

Shepherd’s Hut

MarenRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We absolutely loved our one night stay at the Shepherd's hut. It exceeded our expectations in terms of the immediate surroundings as we were right next to a little paddock and play area, with the canal nearby. The interior of the hut also exceeded expectations with gorgeous little details such as homemade jam, lovely hand soap, kids books and other things. The quality of the accommodation was high, comfy beds, great cooking facilities and nice lighting. I have already recommended this place to family and friends.

Pheasant Lodge

KatieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Pheasant lodge was the perfect stopover stay, the night before a wedding at the local Peckforton Castle! The lodge was situated at the bottom of the Bickerton Poacher Pub campsite in a corner which added to the private feel! In addition to the lodge being great the actual pub at the top of the campsite was fantastic too, we had a great evening meal a 1min walk (if that) from our doorstep! To check in we just headed into the pub where we were greeted by Grace, who was fantastic! She showed us to the lodge and it was clean and well kept, even better than described! My family (including a 5month old) stayed and it was perfect, an added bonus of having a bath as well as shower for the baby! There were so many added touches too, toiletries in the rooms, towels provided, teabags ect, we were very impressed and surprised by this! We were actually disappointed that we were only staying for one night as it was such a lovely place, we would have loved a little bit more time to explore!

Fairvale House - Newly Converted

EmmaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a lovely extended weekend stay at the house for a family get together. The location was great, easily accessible for a visit to Chester and lots of pretty walks nearby. The house itself was lovely, especially the outdoor space, hot tub and games room. The kitchen was fully stocked and there was plenty of room for the whole group to dine together, along with plenty of seating in the lounge for all. If I’m being super critical, the house would benefit from an additional fridge as the fridge space was limited for a house of that size, but this is a very minor point. I would certainly recommend this house!
