Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Chenango County

My family and I were in NY state for a wedding and enjoyed a great weekend stay at Emily and Vince’s Airbnb. The accommodations were extremely clean and beds were very comfortable. We used the roomy kitchen and dining areas for eating and made the short into town for groceries and takeout. We were even treated to a band parade going through town on Saturday featuring middle and high school bands from the surrounding areas. What fun! We would certainly recommend Emily and Vince’s lovely Airbnb to anyone looking to stay in the area. Thank you, Emily and Vince!

We loved the home and property. Views were beautiful. Our 2 puppies loved running through the freshly cut grass. The home was perfect. The cute decor throughout the home was adorable. The home was immaculately clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again!

My experience here was delightful. The lake was peaceful, clean and beautiful. There were eagles and ospreys diving for fish right in front of us sitting in the lovely boathouse by the water. The large deck off the kitchen and living room is perfect for large gatherings. The expansive lawn is perfect for playing games, family and pet activities. The boats were easily accessible for use as well. The house is nicely renovated with comfortable beds, new appliances and bathroom details. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I did.

A perfect escape from the city. We went up for Memorial Day weekend – 3 couples, 2 babies. The photos do not do this place justice! It is extremely spacious and comfortable. The house has lots of charm and sits on a beautiful, peaceful corner in Gilbertsville. It has none of the generic airbnb feel you so often find in upstate rentals. The kitchen was nice and big so we could cook meals together and there's a large dining table we were all able to eat around. We grilled, sat around the fire pit. One night it rained so we sat in the living room listening to records by the indoor fire. In the mornings we walked to the nearby bakery for a cup of coffee and some of the best pastries I've ever had (seriously). We booked at the last minute and John was incredibly accommodating and helpful – and had some great local tips. We will definitely be back!

Had an excellent stay at the house! It was very clean and in a very quiet/private area. I plan on going back in the future!

The home was very comfortable and good for large groups. We were in town for the General Clinton Canoe Regatta. There were multiple seating areas and nooks to hang out in so everyone could have their own space or gather for a big family meal. Garden space and fire pit lovely and well maintained. We had rain, so the covered porch was much appreciated! Comfortable beds. Hot tub. Kitchen large enough for prepping big meals and well equipped. Driveway fit all 6 of our cars without issue. Thoughtful touches like plenty of coffee, ice packs in freezer, plenty of easy to find cleaning supplies and laundry room, and local recommendations. Super responsive host and very accommodating. All in all a really great house.

The stay was truly wonderful! We enjoyed the charming atmosphere provided by our hosts, while their care and consideration towards our stay and comfort really made us feel welcome. This will be our number one spot to consider if we’re ever anywhere near the area. Loved every minute of it, and the homemade breakfast delivery really ended our stay on a perfect not. Great little cabin and a very relaxing vacation! April’s father, Bob, had the wood stove going for when we arrived and he stopped by to give us the run down of the cabin. We had a great time staying here!

We were happy with our stay at Missy’s cabin. We came up to this lake so that we could do some fishing and visit with family who live in the area. I was able to bring my boat and there was a dock area for us to use which was perfect. The walk down the hill from the cabin was easy and short. There was great communication from Missy leading up to our stay as well as during our stay. She was very accommodating and made sure that we were comfortable. The cabin had everything we needed from a well appointed kitchen to linens, towels and most importantly a strong Wi-Fi connection and cable tv for those less than ideal fishing days. The only downside is that Verizon cell service was very poor, but we were able to use the Wi-Fi calling around the cabin so it was only a minor inconvenience. Thanks again Missy, we’ll be back!

I rented Arlene's cottage for an overnight leadership retreat for 10 people. Its location is tranquil and remote, and the facility was perfect for our needs, with individual beds for everyone (8 of them are built-in bunks which were quite comfortable) and a large open space for meals, conversation, etc. We'd definitely rent again in the future. Photos were accurate. A few things to know: the gravel/dirt access roads are bumpy and long. The entrance to the property is set back from the road and is unmarked, although she advised and sent pictures in advance. The street address does not work in Google or Apple Maps, so follow her directions (I am going to report this). The kitchen was very well provisioned with utensils, dishware, glasses and pots and pans, but only very basic food necessities (salt, pepper, sugar and coffee), so bring everything that you will need food-wise, including plastic wrap and foil if you anticipate leftovers. WiFi worked well but cell service very weak.

This was a relaxing, off the grid escape for us to help re-charge from our usual hectic life style. It is so peaceful, quiet and relaxing. Audra was a great host! We’d love to keep this place as our best kept secret if we could😊

I grew up on this lake and I still own property there. Mine needs to be rebuilt so it was great to stay at hers. She has a great spot on the lake. Great fishing right off her docks to. Will stay again!

Artan’s place was beautiful and he was a wonderful host. We loved using the outdoor space with our group and grilling outside. The beds were also really comfortable! Artan was great with his communication and made our list minute trip super easy!

Cabin is on a high point and has nice views of the area. Plenty of windows and wrap around porch in the back. Must be very nice when the leaves change.
