Ellen’s cabin was great. Super cozy. Had a great time hanging with our golden doodle by the wood stove. The screen/projector upstairs was perfect for movies. We would definitely come back. Followed her recommendations on her site and ate at Julia’s Local one night. Amazing food and not too far. Went to the Red Star Cafe for fancy coffees one afternoon, and ate at the Deer Mountain Inn (recommended by Julia herself of Julia’s Local). Five star dining and a great place to sleep after. Great weekend all around.

Everything about this place is just perfect, the hosts are very responsive and helpfull, very accommodative! The place is one of the most amazing and beautiful cabin I been in, very confortable, extremely cozy, very romantic, they literally think in every little detail to make your stay perfect (insect repellent, coffee, salt, olive oil, umbrella, sugar, tea, towels, body wash, shampoo). It was a rainy weekend and I thought it was not going to be that great because of the weather but even with the rain was just perfect, it was actually more romantic. The pictures are exactly what you are going yo get, the only bad part is that you will not want to leave, is so relaxing. The local places nearby are great too. We will be back for sure!! This is one of those places that you don't have to doubt, just do it!!!

What a magnificent spot! If nothing else, the creek next to the house was worth the price of admission. But the whole experience was fantastic. We filled the place up, and had a dozen more family members come for Thanksgiving dinner. It was cozy and the extra kitchen in the cabin was a godsend. We loved being there, and everything about our stay was perfect. Thank you!

We loved our stay at Ed's cabin. it is a real gem and perfect for a long weekend away. we loved the fireplace, the rocking chairs, the windows with views out onto the lake that make you feel like you're right over the lake and in the trees. there were nice restaurants and hikes in the area, but we were perfectly content watching the lake and reading from the cabin. Ed was perfectly accommodating and extremely generous with his space, couldn't recommend more highly.

We had a fantastic stay here. It’s a very cute and cozy cabin, and well appointed in terms of amenities (well- stocked kitchen, plenty of extra blankets, great selection of board games). We loved the remoteness and privacy. Jessica was communicative and accommodating to our group. I’d highly recommend this place for an off the grid experience.

Incredible stay, just not long enough! The Upstate Cabin was the perfect retreat and offered everything we needed for a peaceful getaway. The views from every window were amazing, especially the Saturday morning wakeup to a surprise snow. The turntable is such a cool retro offering. Spinning vinyl in such a warm, cozy space was sweet perfection!! Whitney and William were excellent hosts. They communicated all the essentials in a timely manner, offered helpful recommendations, and reached out when it snowed to make sure we had assistance if needed. They also graciously accommodated my request for late check out when I had a conflict with work and travel arrangements. If you’re looking for serenity and the embrace of nature, do yourself a favor and book the Upstate Cabin! It’s my new favorite place to stay. We will definitely be back!
