Stunning property and location. The cottage is so incredibly pretty and the garden was perfect for our dog to run around. Great location for getting out and about and seeing so much of the Calvados region. Really peaceful at night and everything we needed for a relaxing break.

Super small house as advertised. Very well equipped, comfortable bedding. Very steep staircase and lots of small steps everywhere, to consider with small children or elderly people. Very peaceful environment and beautiful outdoor environment, very well maintained. Ideally located 5 minutes from Haras du Pin. Good communication with Michèle.

What to say? We arrived and the environment nikel. Clean in front and in the back of the house. Clean house, environment of the house as we like. Small lot in the back of the house with different areas for each tenant. The owner responds quickly. We had an empty gas bottle 10 min after it was changed. We spent a night for an ATV competition, redoing. Thanks

Very nice and spacious house allowing you to stay with extended family (there were 11 of us) without any problems. Samuel was extremely flexible on check-in and checkout times. Samuel had some nice touches for Christmas, which particularly touched us. To be repeated during the summer season to enjoy the beautiful outdoor facilities!

Charming Cottage in Lower Normandy1

We selected this cottage as it’s within 3km walking distance to our family place in Le Renouard. The location is in deepest Normandy countryside among abundant nature - visiting in August the routes around the house were full of gorgeous flowers, blackberries, plums. We plan to return with family for an occasion - there’s great sized kitchen (hob with gas cylinders), beautiful big fireplace and the downstairs bedroom is lovely and has a huge bath. The garden is well kept with a border of white hydrangeas and an old stone cider press - it was a pleasure to have coffee or a meal outside and in the adjoining cottage other guests seemed friendly. Take board games and outdoor games, find out if you can book the adjoining cottage and if you’re visiting in winter make sure you have a car that get back up the 2km lane to find this wonderfully remote location - the cottage is quite stunning when you arrive and it’ll be worth it! Owners helpful with directions - avoid the Sat nav. Super!!

A small cottage in a peaceful environment with nice scenery. Perfect for example for a few days get-away. We had a good night's sleep in the cottage, very quiet place. Positive surprise was three friends in the field next door. It would be a good idea to replace the dish brush and sponge with a new one every now and then. It makes washing up easier because there are a limited number of dishes. We would stay at Douglas's cottage again.

A huge thank you for this stay! Everything was perfect from start to finish. You were great, always available and attentive, we couldn't have asked for more to celebrate our son's 18th birthday with the family. The house is beautiful, tastefully decorated, warm and welcoming, and what can I say about the garden… a real little corner of greenery! We loved being able to have a family barbecue and meet in the evening around the brazier. We felt right at home…! Thanks again, and hope to see you soon!

We had a great weekend in Manuella's big house in Bernay. The house is spacious, very well equipped and perfectly clean. The setting is quiet and ideal for a stay with family or friends. The rooms are comfortable, and the common spaces are pleasant, including the living room and the well-equipped kitchen. Manuella is a caring and responsive host, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We highly recommend this house and will be back with pleasure!

Hi, The host's welcome was excellent: warm, accommodating and very understanding, especially when we had to change our dates last minute. My partner Nick and I stayed here for four days over Easter and had a fantastic time. Christopher and his partner were very sweet, kind, and welcoming. They shared the fascinating history of the house, which is beautifully old and full of character. The stay was peaceful, and the kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom were spotless, well-equipped, and perfect for cooking at home. The location is ideal for visiting the coast, D-Day memorials, and Lisieux with the Basilica of Saint Thérèse. The property is easy to reach, has nearby parking, a lovely garden, and you can tell it’s well cared for and loved. Livarot is a small, charming town with everything in walking distance, and the nearby villages are full of châteaux and scenic views. If you’re looking for a quiet, cozy, and beautiful place to stay, especially as a couple, this is it. We’re very happy and definitely recommend it!

The kitchen was extremely well equipped and the cottage was spotlessly clean. Stephanie and Nicolas were extremely helpful hosts and very responsive to queries.
