A Perfect Place for your stay

Kaitlyn’s apartment is very sweet and well appointed. I had everything I needed, especially in the kitchen. It was very clean and comfortable. Perfect for my purposes. For those with mobility issues, it would present issues, as there is a fairly steep flight of stairs to the entrance. Otherwise, I highly recommend it.
The circular skylight of the yurt offers a view of the blue sky and tree canopy above, framed by ornate decorations. A chimney extends upward, providing ventilation while enhancing the design's traditional elements.

I recently stayed at this beautiful yurt and had the most peaceful and memorable experience! From the moment we arrived, everything felt cozy, welcoming, and perfectly in tune with nature. The yurt was clean, well-equipped, and thoughtfully designed — it had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing getaway. Waking up to the sounds of birds and falling asleep under the soft glow of the stars through the skylight was pure magic. The surroundings were serene and private, perfect for unwinding and disconnecting from the hustle of daily life. Our host was incredibly kind and responsive, making sure we felt right at home. I truly appreciated the personal touches and care that went into every detail of the stay. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature, this yurt is an absolute gem. Highly recommended — I can’t wait to come back!

Large vacation retreat - chalet style home

Erin’s place was perfect for our group. The pool table and hot tub were great additions and there was lots of space for all 15 of us to stay there comfortably. Just one thing to note is that it’s located on a residential street with houses backing on to it pretty closely. This wasn’t an issue for us, but it did provide less privacy when using the backyard for the hot tub. Overall, would stay there again.

We just got back from a lovely stay at the cottage on Spectacle Lake, and even though the weather wasn’t on our side, we truly had a great time. The rain kept us mostly indoors, but the cozy fireplace turned out to be a blessing we spent our time just relaxing, listening to the rain, and soaking in the peaceful vibe. The cottage itself is tucked away in such a private, serene spot. Waking up to the sound of birds and looking out over the calm water from every window was incredibly calming. Everything was so clean and well cared for. Waking up to birdsong and calm water views from every window was such a treat. I was thrilled to finally spot a few beaver lodges in the Madawaska Valley — a small dream come true! The cottage was clean, the docks looked great, and having fresh drinking water available was such a thoughtful and sustainable touch. We didn’t get the clear skies we hoped for to stargaze, but that just gives us a reason to come back and we definitely will.

The host was very nice, the house was very comfortable and clean, it was worth it and I will look forward to being here again on our next visit!

The "Birdhouse" on Downey Bay of the Ottawa River

This was my 2nd time staying at the Birdhouse and I miss it already! The place is cozy and well stocked and the waterfront is gorgeous. There is plenty to do on site from swimming, canoeing, kayaking and paddleboarding or reading a book in one of the many muskoka chairs. The sauna is a really unexpected highlight, I made it my daily ritual before diving off the dock. If you're looking to leave the property there is plenty to do in the area - local shopping in Pembroke, drinks on the patio at the Hotel Pontiac, or exploring the neighbouring communities.
