Lake houses in Central Lake

The house was very well furnished, yard was perfect for a nightly bonfire with friends and family. Close enough to town where you could easily get groceries, fuel, or simple go out to eat with no worry about it being a long drive. The house was located perfectly around multiple trailheads for ORV riding (within 20 mins). The only thing that I can say that was a downside to the rental was the amount of kitchenware. For a cabin that sleeps 10, there were limited plates, bowls, mixing bowls, and utensils.

If your looking for peace and quiet, this is the place. Beautiful scenery and wild life.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. It is an absolute treat having our boat right outside at the dock. We loved listening to the loons. Mark, the property manager is super helpful (thank you!). The property is clean, clutter free, and the house is stocked very well with essentials. Michael accommodated a special request I had for our stay during booking and I really appreciated the opportunity. We would love to stay here again! My only complaint is the trip went by too fast!

This was our second stay with Terry & we will definitely be back! He always goes above & beyond to make sure we have everything we need & is very communicative. Can’t recommend enough!

We've stayed here several times and the accommodations work well for our family of mixed ages. This trip we went snowshoeing daily and explored several nearby parks. We hope to return next winter.

Jennifer-- I would give you all 10 stars if that was an option! The pictures and description does not do it justice. It is far superior to a place I stayed earlier in the summer--no comparison! We loved the welcome basket and all the thoughtful extras. Too bad it was too windy for a bonfire and smores Sat night. I only wish we had a longer stay to do all we wanted. Thanks for having the canoe and kayaks available. You were super responsive and helpful with any contact or needs. Thank you for being a true Super Host! We had a great time here. This two bedroom, two bathroom house was perfect for my family ( 2 adults, 1 child and a large dog. The house is recently remodeled, located in the woods and on a lake. The yard is beautiful the views are perfect. There was everything you needed inside included a hair dryer which I forgot and family games like the fun childish butt crack puzzle that my 8 year old loved doing with us. The house is located only 20+ minutes from downtown Traverse City but just out of the hustle and bustle. The only thing that sucked was the sliding door that stuck, was so hard to open and close and almost impossible to lock but the owners had a paper on the fridge explaining that they were fixing that very soon. We visited in April so we didn't get in the water but they had kayaks, fishing poles, bikes, life jackets and so much more to enjoy that lake. I loved this vacation.

Lovely place RIGHT on the lake. My husband and I went for a date weekend of ice fishing and relaxation. Yes-it was a perfect spot to walk out and fish despite the quantities of snow! Restaurants all right there in walking distance- hours are different than what is on menus or online so be aware. Very clean and cozy place that was spacious and warm. We will definitely keep it on our list for the future!

Had an amazing long weekend. Great inland lake. The house was perfect for our family. The host was super responsive and had a ton of great recommendations.

Our stay at Dorene and John’s was perfect! We traveled the half hour to ski at Nub’s and enjoyed being in the private atmosphere of the cabin. The hot tub topped it all off! We didn’t want to leave!

Beautiful lake home. Everything is very nice & comfortable. We enjoyed the getaway very much. Loved looking at the peaceful lake. The updates are very tastefully done. Looks like a lot of time invested into every detail. It’s well stocked-lots of games too. Restaurants, stores, ice cream all within 5 miles. Highly recommend for R&R on a big lake. Thank you!

Close to Crystal, and exactly as advertised. A perfect place for a couple families that want to ski or golf.

My family and I really enjoyed Brian’s place. There was plenty of room for all our ski gear and only 3 mins to the mountain. Having access to the Schuss hot tub was a bonus. There are plenty of board games available and the internet worked well. This has been one of our favorite Airbnbs during the ski season.

You will instantly fall in love with the quiet lakefront beauty and the breath-taking and welcoming home just 60 or so feet from the water. The main floor of the house is close to lake level making the drama of nature around you compelling and inspiring. The waterfront and waves lapping the stone and sand shore are visible from almost all the rooms of the house, and it's a short walk to River Street in Elk Rapids. Traverse Magazine readers voted River Street "in the top 10 of ‘Sweet Small-Town Main Streets in Northern Michigan.'” The pace of life is calming in this lovely town and in this beautiful home. Owner Bernadette and property manager Sam make you feel perfectly at home. Response time to messages is instant, polite, and friendly. There's so much enjoyment to be had for all ages here.

My family and I were very happy with the condo. Very clean and well maintained. The kitchen had plenty of utensils and cooking dishes. Lots of room for us and very comfortable. The view on the deck was very nice with views of the #1 fairway. Beautiful golf course. The condo was a close drive to downtown.

We really enjoyed our stay for a few days during spring break. The stay was comfortable and was as shown in the pictures.

The view from this home is unmatched. Upon walking in, the home is welcoming and pristine, and I particularly loved the vinyl collection. The host is not only responsive, but also accommodating and proactive. We will be back soon!
