Vacation rentals with a pool in Castro Daire

We had an amazing stay here. We found the peace and quiet we were looking for in a beautiful environment. Lucas, and his mother who speaks french, waited for us in town to escort us to the house. We felt very welcome before we even arrived. Even though we arrived late, we were given a big tour of the house, terrain and animals, which the kids loved. The house fits the description and did not disappoint, the outside is beautiful.

We were a group of 8 people and everything went very well. We love the home, the animals, and the outside space. There is plenty to explore on foot nearby and we will definitely be back. Alice welcomed us and was always available during our stay to answer questions. We loved it!!

They welcomed us warmly, gave us a detailed tour, and shared so many interesting stories about the house. The home itself was beautiful, clean, and cozy, and the surrounding area was fascinating to explore. It’s so rare to find a place where you can feel the care and attention the owners have put into it. We absolutely loved it and would highly recommend staying here!

This place is absolutely beautiful, and the hosts were warm and welcoming. Everything was perfect, and our stay here was truly a healing experience. They even gave us some vegetables from their farm and fresh figs, which were the most delicious we’ve ever had. Highly recommend!

It was a fantastic weekend! Marta is an excellent host, always available and friendly. The house is typical of the region, where there was no lack of comfort. The exterior is huge, well maintained, with a large swimming pool, surrounded by a large lawn. Repeating for sure !

Over the years we had quiet a few holiday homes but this one is so special and was definitely one of the best we ever had! It starts with the private driveway to the house which makes you feel like queens and kings of ancient portugal. On the one hand the property is extremely quiet because there is nothing nearby except nature and a very small steeet, on the other hand you can walk in 20 minutes to Reriz, the village nearby that is very beautiful and has a wonderful little café and a very special riverbeach, where you can swim, hang out and have a beer. The house itselfe is really beautiful, very comfortable beds, and a kitchen with a astonishing panoramic view. Right next to the house is the wonderful saltwater pool with a terace that also offers a great panorama. And you can swim in the river on the property. PLUS Sherrin and Tony are the most friendly hosts you can imagine, especially friendly and understanding with our noisy kids - this makes you feel really at home as a family.

For those traveling as a family or with friends, it is simply fantastic!
