The area is noted for its historic 16th century doors and is on the Caminho de Santiago pilgrimage route. The castle is a ten minute walk. The train and coach stations are a 15 minute walk.

The first construction dates back to 1928 and was recovered in 2002 in the form of a villa. Visitors' rest and well-being are ensured by a peaceful environment in contact with nature.
